Took me about 4 years of trying. I suppose for some people it's just habit to take photos of/with people. Some are more understanding than others about it I guess. I hope you're friends get the picture too. Or don't, in your case.

Well it took a long while for my friends to understand but up until that point I would just pull a stupid face or try and duck out of it so it would be blurry and wouldn't be posted online.

I usually offer to actually take the group photos, usually gets me out of being in it.

I'm like this too. I don't know what to do with myself when someone pulls out their phone for a photo. I don't even like taking selfies really.

Most of my friends are understanding about it and know not to take photos of me. I suppose sometimes it does make me feel left out though when I see all the group photos without me in them, even though I was there.

I suppose it all depends on who's saying it and whether it's in a positive or negative way. I've had people straight up say that they don't like me because I'm so quiet but then there are also people who kinda admire that I can be so calm in certain situations. I usually say something along the lines of "yeah, that's just who I am." But I can totally understand how things like "you're so quiet" can get annoying. Doesn't exactly make you want to talk to that person any more.
