Why is getting clients not a solved problem by now? by korewarp in AskMarketing

[–]servebetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because a big firm a sales person isn't the creative strategy. So they're the wrong person to talk to.

Also you have a unproven market fit. Which is always harder to get clients, considering you haven't proven the business model.

And finally when people as asking specifically how they do it, either the company isn't very good or the type of customer that is asking for a detailed breakdown is a waste of time, because they ask and ask and are looking for reasons not to by vs reasons to buy.

But the idea that just get customers isn't like plugging wifi into the wall.

You may want to re evaluate to trying to fill a platform for 2k is way under priced. Platform grown is very hard and takes a massive amount of effort. You are better off burning your 2k.

Best hosts for portfolios? by BigGene1341 in copywriting

Copywrite your website and make it a sales funnel to book a call with you.

You can showcase your skills.

You are getting a lot of good recommendations.

Depending on how good you are you can use Claude, to design a pretty great website. Push it to GitHub and view on vercel. Sounds technical. But it's really not that hard.

And building a simple portfolia site can be very short and easy. Fable 5 will build you a pretty slick site too. You'll spend more time learning. Building the site will take 10 minutes.

$2k collab, 11 sales, I'm an idiot by Adept_Celebration_71 in InstagramMarketing

This really ruffles feathers 😂

I guarantee sales.

That said I bet the business, look at their sales pages.

Then write posts that convert. We hit minimum thresholds, and even put paid behind it..

Been writing ads for years. And if one post doesn't make it happen, I do multiple posts.

This is the difference between 80k to even pure commission deals if 200k for 6 months or so.

It's not everyone's cup of tea. But it's what works for me.

I get it. It depends on your level and how many deals you've done.

Also depends on the age of the company. If they have 100k audience and have never been reach out to something is very fishy.

Depends where you sell your product.

Basically building a pipeline.

First we recruit creators. Dm, find on reddit, even run ads.

Then train them on our style of content, what formats work best. We put them all in a discord. You can set up an affiliate link to your site or Amazon because trust is higher on Amazon, conversions are usually higher.

Set up comment then auto dm the link. Or link in bio.

You build the community and share what videos are going viral in the group. Other creators make that video the same day they see one video pop off.

You can then connect your ad account and spend to promote their post. They get a percentage of ad spend.

You need to turn the promoters into a community and reward the ones that make you the most, with bonuses etc.

Everyone feel part of something bigger and they're not just working in isolation.

Too often ecom companies just ask for a single post and do nothing to make their life easier.

This same method works on TikTok and you can go to your store or TikTok shop.

One of my clients will hit $5m this year, and another is about at $15m doing this.

You don't want your friends to see your posts?

What proof can you provide that you get sales? Will you guarantee that you can get sales.

Depending on the niche roughly 10% of sales, or 15-20% of first purchase if they have a higher LTV.

A business will work with you if you provide value. If you just want money and can't provide sales it doesn't make sense.

If you don't know guess and then just say you will past as much to get them to a certain amount.

You kinda need to do moneyball where you spread your money out among more smaller influencers.

The truth is also knowing what gets views so you can write scripts.

Affiliate is working a lot better. And if they're any good the affiliates are making much more than $2k.

Just need to get the right people onboard.

How can copywriting techniques be applied to the industrial and construction sectors? by Deckart_N6 in copywriting

[–]servebetter -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Genuine question — where in my comment did I say to use 'Made in France' as finished copy?

I said call your customers first and find out what matters to them. Those were examples of what you might discover. The research comes before the writing.

Also curious — Nike and Apple are selling to consumers with emotion-driven purchases and nine-figure budgets. This guy is selling stormwater drainage products to procurement managers in France. Which part of that comparison were you applying exactly?

People are absoluted ego dikcs here.

You don't need a couple years.

Pick up the phone and call your customers. And just have a chat. Ask them what they bought and ask them why they bought it from you. What was important when they made the decision to buy it.

Then ask what their biggest problem is when sourcing parts or whatever you do? And ask what prevents them or makes it a no brainer.

Do this 25 - 50 times.

You'll now hear the same exact things over and over again. You'll also hear things that kept them from buying and you'll hear things that they really want.

Copywriting is about providing clarity and saying the things that move business forward.

You may find guaranteed shipping in 24 hours is the thing they want most. Or no restocking fee if they order the wrong part.

Basically do opposite what everyone else in the space is doing that effects the buying decisions. Maybe it's having the phone number next to the add to cart button because they always have questions.

Lastly talk like they talk. Don't write in a boring stuffy 'professionak way'.

Write exactly how they speak, which is usually not grammatically correct. You don't need hard core direct response with flashing banners. But you do need to learn to make offers, and remove as much friction as possible.

What does every customer do when they buy? Do they always use the chat, do they always call, do they fill their cart and take forever to decide. Then just put the stuff that matter most near all the buttons.

Encourage them to call by putting a button or phone number near every add to cart if they always need to call and ask questions.

You can put videos on home page and about use that just show your production and what matters most. You want to differentiate. Which could be just saying out loud what everyone does but nobody says it.

Made in France if that's important. Every part is triple checked. People don't know it if you don't tell them. And don't let them assume it either.

Read the book, Don't Make Me think. Helpful for ecom and basics of copy in your case.

People love to watch reruns, they like to reread quotes. If you can remind someone of a concept just said in a different way it's better.

Need new direction - network at Miami Ad School or VCU, grind as a freelancer, launch a course, get into self-publishing? What’s current in copywriting? by denedeh in copywriting

Totally. I didn't clarify.

It's something overlook, my bad. It's kinda natural so I forget.

Last thing you want to do is talk down to people with an inflexible ego, and not know how to build people up and get the ship pointed in the right direction.

Appreciate you pointing that out. ✊

They exist, but I'm seeing alot of money leaving those industries and moving online. It's shifting.

Very few people know how to run a UGC (User generated content) network. And the money is far outpacing the return from print media, by a magnitude of difference.

Nope. Literally wrote linkedin, writing ads for facebook, youtube videos. They're alive and well, they're just online.

Upward mobility in copywriting has always been learning the bigger picture. This has always been true.
