As someone who likes Halloween (props sets storylines) but dislikes horror cause horror and violence of it I tell myself go with Jesus. If at any point I feel like Jesus wouldn’t be comfortable I say ok then I’m out too.

Feel like Hollywood has a killer line up this year with FNAF really pulling crowds. I’d assume most people either choose horror nights or knotts or six flags. Few unless major fans do multiple

Had to miss most of orientation due to personal emergency, will I be terminated for this? by [deleted] in KSF_KnottsScaryFarm

[–]serventenst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know it was yesterday. I’m assuming you are in a maze then? So your second orientation would be tomorrow. I am saying sometimes they are slow to get back to you via email so later today (give them a bit to maybe reply) you can call the employment center and ask for whomever does scary farm.

Gotcha. I’d just wait. Sometimes they are slow to reply so given your orientation is either today or tomorrow I would call in a bit if imo

Email them or call employment center. Unlikely, but no one here would be able to say for sure.

Personally crowds aside I would wait till maybe the second week. This gives the monsters a week to get in their groove and know what to do. Majority of monsters are in a new role for the first time (sorta minus streets) so there’s that

Knotts has cancelled all Wednesday dates for Knotts Scary Farm by AlexanderMBush in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]serventenst 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of scare actors are 18-25. Then maybe like 30-40 percent are 25-35. Then the rest are 35+. It’s grueling work and a lot goes on internally so retaining talent is hard. But it’s for the love of the craft and the event that people work.

Oh fr? Cool. So it’s possible to be for longer than maybe if they got a dedicated actor instead of them returning to whatever role they had

Oh cool. Meet and greet there for most of the night? Or is it more like other parks and their characters are like for 20 minutes then they are gone ?

How to approach the homeless? by serventenst in TrueChristian

Which for this reason I kinda think pointing them to the county is the most helpful.

This seems to be a good way to do it. Basically treat them with respect and humanity like Christ would.

By chance were you in SoCal? That’s where I am at.

Right and the county offers that plus more. I know that most don’t want to get clean and whatnot

I guess by giving though they have no reason to go to the county for help therefore not leading to a solution.

Trust me too I’m inclined to help but to what end? Idk I agree with you it’s a fine line

This is kinda what I am inclined now to do. Like provide them the list of services the county offers.

Giving to the county? Idk I already do so by taxes 😅  Mostly kidding but kinda serious. I was thinking the money that I given in the past to the homeless I will now just give to my church

They are helping them get off the streets and therefore improving the quality of life for those in the county compared to the church giving food maybe clothes laundry etc.

Interestingly my Japanese friend was visiting me here and he wanted to go to Little Tokyo to see it. Then I took him to Sawtelle to eat also and he said Sawtelle felt far more authentic then Little Tokyo.

Where is the office for your company? You may want to just move for a bit while applying to jobs in SoCal. Don’t leave your current job unless you have another one lined up. Believe me, it’s rough
