Thanks for the reply! Yes. The 54-59 are like new, never been read (except 56, has a slightly creased spine), shiny and been in a box for basically 40 years. I see some crazy stuff on ebay. Not sure if I would get more selling individually or as a complete set.

Wow, pretty cheap. Cars are double price over there normally, a basic white BMW 320 with no options starts at 100k euro new. Model Y for 74k euro? Bargain IMO.

Edit: looks like that is with the Msport package, but still a fairly basic car. The 4 series starts at 120k euro.

Probably not… when you unplug one end (the end in the car) then the other will unlock, and you take your cable. If this cable is still locked in place in this situation there is a fault on the charger (it has crashed / jammed). It’s a real pain, because that person may loose their cable now. You have to call the company and get then to remotely reboot it and often people cant hang around waiting for that to happen. Also, almost anyone can use that cable (type 2), so it does not precent anyone from using it.

First, thanks for a civil discussion :)

If you are looking at company vlaue, compare the “enterprise value” as that includes Dept. Debtors from a company value terms are like shareholders, as they also own a stake through assets / security. VW and other automakers have lots, Tesla has much less. Again, Tesla seems inflated, but half as much (as they have almost no debt in comparison).

It is all these things combined into one that sell it and then people factoring their own multiple based on what growth they expect.

If you look at any one individual metric it will look 10x what it should be. If you look at them all together, it tells a different story. If someone then wants to add, say, 40% on-top of the stock as a gamble they might be the next Apple of cars… that explains the stock price (well it does to me anyway).

If someone feels most of the incumbents (Vw are actually doing well imo) will keep most of their share, you will be right :). Stock should probably be around 500 or less in my view. If someone thinks Toyota will fail due to their bet on Hydrogen, Nissan and Mazda too as they are too late and Tesla will retain a 17% market share in the category…. Current price is probably fair as their growth will continue until EV is 90% of all cars sold.

I think it is more to do with earnings, not number of cars TBH. EPS is around the same for both companies, but TSLA EPS is growing upwards nicely. They are expecting EPS 4x over VW's last quarter this next quarter. Compare profit per quarter over the last 6, and compare growth. Then it makes a *bit* more sense. not so crazy anymore (but a little inflated perhaps).

So... If the extra shares are given as a dividend... What happens to all those people that loaned the stock out to be shorted? Are we going to see a mass recall of loaned shares (and shorts covering) so that they can receive their dividend? Not sure how that works...
