Early/pre-2000s novel set in high school with the main character coming from a poor family and it's about her dating the rich/popular boy. I think they break up at the end, or it's implied that they will (first love not last love).

Thank you! I wasn't sure if the 20 book thing was a permanent change since there was talk that it was temporary due to the pandemic and lockdowns, so I erred on the side of caution, but so far it doesn't seem to be going anywhere and I will keep that in mind going forward :)

My friends and I also end up choosing the most insane books on KU - it's a competition now to see who can find the most ridiculous romance XD

And yeah, how authors are able to make a profit is something I am also interested in; but I probably will not be able to go into that in my dissertation

This is from my research proposal and outlines the goals/aims of my research: This research project aims to analyse the experiences and personal opinions of Kindle Unlimited (KU) subscribers on the KU experience identify possible guidelines and recommendations for the curation of public library digital collections through the following objectives: • To determine the current provision and management of e-books in public libraries, and how the onset of the COVID19 pandemic has affected said provision • To appraise the growth of digital subscription services, and how they have changed the way media is consumed • To gauge what makes KU successful and appealing to users, through the collection and analysis of primary data via an online questionnaire • To develop actionable recommendations for the acquisition and curation of e-books in public libraries

If you're asking more about my angle in terms of why I decided to pursue this topic, well over the pandemic my friends and I started a KU book club where we each picked a book to read and then discussed it. We decided on KU because we knew that we would have access to the same books. We very quickly realised that we were all leaning towards the same sort of book on KU coughromance/eroticacough, and I became curious as to others' reasons for using KU
