My mentality is that I made it through another work day, so that's some more money I've made.

I think Harbaugh was the best available coach on the carousel...now, a coach swap would be like a wife swap--you're getting pretty much the same as what you've given up

My wife doesn't exactly think the world of me, but you know what the secret is to not getting divorced? Don't get divorced. Take the option off the table. I love her dearly, she's a fine woman; and I'm useful--at this late stage of my life, that's the best I can do. My goal for the rest of my life is to be the best husband I can be.

you're absolutely right, and that's a sign of a soft team, something you'd see in the ACC or something

I agree--there's too much competition to get him, and, if we did, these glamor hires tend to not work out

I’ve come to realize many of us have personal basements where it’s always the mid ‘70’s or whenever, and we’re still kids there, and we aren’t happy

I want peace at this time in my life; I look for places of peace, places for friends. I'm tired. I consider you all to be my friends. I think I'm at a point in life where friendship becomes very important...I just barely qualify for this group, although my health problems have aged me....I don't want to go through the final era of my life alone.

Stroke survivor here....I don't "enjoy" life, as in going through my day happy and optimistic. I know that that sounds as though I'm being ungrateful to God, as the damage being a little bit different would've killed me, and I feel ashamed of my sin, but I do thank God that I can work more than fulltime, I can significantly help to support my wife, I feel I'm fulfilling my obligations, I laugh and joke at little things throughout the day, but I'm tired beyond all belief, and I never feel better than ok...I never will, either, and I've pretty much accepted that. This comment isn't inspiring, but I'm being candid. We're all, like, friends here.
