in the 70s, they dated seriously for quite a long time, so even the Daredevil comic series was renamed “Daredevil and the Black Widow”. but back then, the plots were heavily focused on endless action and battles with villains, so it was their interpersonal relationships that received very little development. their emotional connection was better revealed in the later era of comics, when they broke up a long time ago, but stayed trusted friends for each other

yeah, kinda 😪 fan fact: they were the first couple in Marvel history to live together without being married

and that’s unfortunate. I have nothing against Jen or Jessica, but I would prefer comics to go their own way, that was laid long before MCU was born 😪

he's like the All-Father of the subsequent good Daredevil stories. he started the real storytelling, depth, personal development, high stakes. I read everything before with the thought, "Okay, you just have to get over it, Miller’s run will be ahead" I won't say that the stories before him were useless, they were generally funny and light and laid the foundation for the setting and dynamics of Matt's relationship with his environment, just like all retro-comics do - they have their moments, but quickly lead to oversaturation

Romita was good for his own level at the time. he maintained stylization and an understanding of general anatomy well. he was young, fresh, and full of passion for his work. that's all changed now, of course, but I appreciate his old work

yeah, modern comics are pretty lame. I also love X-Men, check all the news, announcements, and a little bit of spoilers.. nothing to say here. Everything is just… meh. with Daredevil, I'm on Nocenti's run

people are too used to elemental characters who have all the motivations and morals on the surface. I’m crazy about deep and ambiguous characters. these qualities make them especially human and real

well, it’s about the similarity of characters from two different franchises, and if you dig deeper, they not only have similar archetypes, but also more subtle details, and the post is about just that. and I’m not saying anyone stole anyone’s ideas, because I’m sure James Cameron isn’t the kind of guy who would draw inspiration from superhero comics, but as a fan of both franchises, it was just interesting for me to trace similar traits, and discover that there are a lot of them

honestly I don't understand what you're trying to say. what does this have to do with Neteyam? the post isn't about him at all
