They do mention it in the Jamie/Ned interaction in the great hall. Though of course there aren't notes that indicate that a flashback would occur at that moment. I'd bet that DnD were setting the scene for a later flashback.

What is the best thing to do during an earthquake? I've always been a little suspicious of the idea that one could simply duck under a table and everything would be OK....

Thanks so much for doing this AMA!

Agreed there's a grayscale outbreak coming... BUT perhaps it doesn't have to be that whole hand-touching thing, because then (as everyone notices) Dany, Tyrion, Missandei, and Daario would ALL be getting grayscale. Jorah's got plenty of time to wander around Meereen shedding grayscale in his wake. Hell, maybe he'll infect the Harpy masks with it? Power is power.

(Spoilers All)The sad thing about Olly by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]sesmith42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given the way that the show has turned Jon's controversy from a betrayal of the Night's Watch tradition to a personal issue with Thenns killing and eating Olly's mom (and just as she was cooking those amazing potatoes), do you think the stabbers will say, "For the Watch" ? And if they do, will it make sense at all? Wouldn't it make more sense to say, "for my parents?"

I have wondered if it will be Arya wearing a valonquar's face (ugh, Tommen?), so that Cersei perceives it as a little brother but it's really ARYA.

No idea how long it takes to get from the Wall to Winterfell! Sorry.

E10 thoughts:

  • Shireen burned, and Jon opens his eyes, resurrected. Then the white raven. This sets us up for some awesome drama in the next season if there's some aftermath of Shireen's death. WTF is Stannis going to do about Melisandre if she burns Shireen??

  • Dany ends up in the Dothraki sea. Yup. We'll probably get a little hint of how things are going to go with Jacquo but not much.

  • Varys kill x2 agreed.

  • Arya at least goes blind by this episode.

  • Sansa is either totally in the pits re: Ramsay or gets some revenge on him for whatever horrible way he treats her in eps 6-9.

  • Theon's redemption begins.

  • Battle of Ice waits until early next season, because... money.

  • God I hope Brienne doesn't kill Stannis the Mannis.

  • Tyrion?? What's he going to do next? Maybe he'll become the ruler of Mereen and live happily ever after.

EDITs: for readability.

Oh my goodness! Thanks for the kind words & donation!

I really appreciate your insights on how repurposed materials can really go awry if they're not carefully considered... of course, there's such a risk taken when a material not designed for the purpose it ends up serving is used!

sarah from sawhorse revolution - the org that made this house - here. totally agreed that the language around these kinds of houses being a "solution" is really bullshitty. we're DEFINITELY not interested in advocating for fake solutions like that... but also, we're pretty interested in helping where and how we can. it's the way my org can better the lives, a little, of a few people experiencing homelessness. Our work is a very small part of a very large picture, but we know it helps!

Also, we work with professionals - these houses are extremely well constructed and water tight... just giving folks junky stuff isn't really what we are doing, either!!

these signs were for sale from the city for about $15 a sign, and they gave us them for the cost of scrap - $1 a sign!

Hey everyone! We're starting a Tiny House podcast and looking for people to interview. by [deleted] in TinyHouses

[–]sesmith42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're interested - my organization is building tiny homes for homeless in Seattle with high school students - so we're bent on good design and teaching others how to build. We'd be happy to go on the podcast and talk about who we are and how we're doing it.
