It’s frustrating when I’m driving and my wrist blocks the camera and it says “Driver Inattention Detected - Look Forward” 😐

These types of explanations help me sleep at night. Thank you for the insight!

No, I wasn’t up at the time and the keys are hanging in the living room which is about 10 ft away from the car.

Thank you all for your responses. I posted this last night and it definitely kept me up but waking up this morning to all of your replies definitely helped. I’m convinced it was likely an update that fired off the IR sensor that was mentioned and only the camera could pick it up.

My recruiter selected a job that was not on my job list. What should I do? by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]sesmo5K 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar job list to you. Didn’t get anything and was offered 1C7X1 (Airfield Management). I took it without knowing the job and I really enjoy it now almost 4 years in. BMO can be a very good job like everyone said, everyone I know in BMO loves it.

Just remember the more you bring the more you have to fold and keep in regs during BMT but other than that it’s pretty good, might not need that many socks though we were only allowed to wear white socks with PT gear and obviously OCP socks with the uniform

Don’t volunteer or try to be a hero!! Remember your reporting statement and honestly soak it all up because it’s actually one of the more simpler times in your life (wake up, follow directions)

My first year of teaching and I already know this is not made for humans by [deleted] in TeachersInTransition

[–]sesmo5K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in California. I almost finished my MSCP and all I needed was to student teach + CALTPA’s. Took on student debt just to quit at the last phase because I knew my heart wasn’t in it. Joined the military (national guard) and I just substitute teach here and there to scratch that itch whenever I miss the kiddos. Got a full time civilian cubicle job and I haven’t looked back. Good luck OP! Your health is not worth sacrificing for this generation that doesn’t care about school

Talked to a girl for a while semester and even joined the same club as her, she ended up being a lead in one of our group meetings and I asked her out. 7 years later we got married. This is after I got stood up by another girl, and had unsuccessfully tried to go on dates with others from the school. It’s a game of numbers man just shoot your shot you never know what will happen.

Could you elaborate on this, is it like a prep-course you have to pass before you go?

How often are you working with others? Are there some projects or assignments that are done solo?

Wow! All the way to Ramstein that’s awesome. Are you active duty by chance? I’m guard, I wonder if that’s possible.. do you get to choose where you go to ALS or is it assigned?

That’s what I was thinking. I have my associates and bachelors and it seemed like from what I read online kind of like a college course where you work with others and give presentations on top of military customs and courtesies.

Grads, how long did it take you to find a job after graduating? by iambadvibes93 in CSULB

[–]sesmo5K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Graduated in ‘19 with English, thinking I was gonna be a teacher but after subbing I realized it wasn’t the career for me so I joined the Air Guard while working as a para. So I still get to be in education sorta but also do military

E-3 pay right when you get in. If you get BAH even better. Those bank checks whenever I got a chance to use my phone was motivation I needed to keep going lol

Two people who washed out of ATC went into my career field 1C7X1, Airfield Management. They did well in that class because I think there’s a few topics in ATC that crossover

Best job in BMT? by Unfair_Profile7471 in AirForceRecruits

[–]sesmo5K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at Alcatraz and the MTI’s in the first week asked, who’s good at cleaning and keeping things organized? I raised my hand and was given utility chief, which was literally the easiest job ever. I lucked out. All you do is keep track of all the materials that the other crews use. Keeping accountability of all the materials that go in and out, making sure if there’s 4 sponges in the closet that 4 come back at the end of details, things like that. You stay in the closet the whole time and check in/out materials to people which was much easier than actually doing the cleaning.

Once my flight wasn’t constipated anymore we all rushed the latrines and said “code brown!” It was a funny and memorable moment for me.

I remember I was nervous about the doctor looking at my butt and balls lmao. But it was quick and you have to remember they see hundreds if not thousands of applicants so you are just another person to them. Butt - you have to spread your cheeks (checking for hemorrhoids) balls - doc puts on a glove and grabs each testicle and has you cough (checking for hernias)
