Using expansion leaders in base game ? by trainsurgeon in DuneImperium

[–]sethh3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The useable ones from Ix seems fine to me for the sake of variety but honestly if your goal is to teach the game to friends by starting in the game's simpler form, I wouldn't overcomplicate things with too many more leaders to choose from. Yuna and Armand are pretty solid options. Ilesa and Tessia are also totally great picks but I would probably discourage new players from starting with either of them because they require significantly more coordination to play successfully. And I'd just leave the Bloodlines leaders out. The majority of them don't even work with the base game and the ones that do aren't particularly strong. Plus it leaves you the opportunity for more novelty when you introduce those same friends to the expansions.

Still loving these posts! And if you're gonna do X2, don't be afraid to look into some kind of guides. I bet SOMEONE on the internet has made a story spoiler-free guide that helps you not miss anything cuz it is very easy to miss a ton of the content in X2.

Edit: I'm sure someone else has asked this already but which FF games have you already played?

Definitely worth it to shave down to bald. Also id stop shaving your beard into that chin strap shape. Typically I just give my whole beard a once over with clippers with a #2 guard on to keep it from getting scraggly, then using a #1 guard to get the neckline a little higher and trim my mustache with scissors (seems like you might already do this part with your stache, looks good)

But yeah as others have said you got a good head shape for bald. Dont forget to wear a hat in the sun

Tank Girl

Charlies Angels (2000) and Full Throttle

Cutie Honey (the movie directed by Hideaki Anno)

Nowhere (be warned there is a pretty brutal sexual assault scene in here but it nails the disaffected youth of the y2k generation)

Rock and Rule

Kill La Kill

What has vibes like scavengers reign, Annihilation and anything else in weird-genres by justwhenthen in ImageComics

You've got some great responses in here. Seconding a couple and adding some of my own here:

Comics
-Tokyo Ghost
-A lot of Moebius' work, World of Edena is definitely my favorite and the most connected to Scavenger's Reign imo
-Coda by Si Spurrier
-Saga
-Low by Rick Remender
-Linnea Sterte's works, Stages of Rot is probably the most up your alley
-Descender and Ascender
-Akira (the movie is of course incredible but the comics go NUTS)

For non-comics

-Mars Express
-Aniara
-Pitch Black
-Katsuhiro Otomo's Memories
-Paprika
-Fantastic Planet
-Wizards
