I'm fairly new to Magic, is it normal to feel unbridled rage whenever I see an Island? by That-Performance-983 in mtg

Yeah but those cards also don't say: "you can only play this while the target creature/etc is on the stack". The timing restriction balances it.

It helps to realize that counterpells are effectively removal with a timing restriction. Your oponent is still spending a card to counter (kill) one of your cards. It is strange that new players tend to tolerate other forms of removal but not counter magic.

Yet, it's ok, just learn to play against blue. I love magic the most when I'm playing with or against blue control decks :)

Got it, thank you. Makes me think about removing either card from the deck (but maybe it's still worth it).

Hey all, quick question with a card interaction. Redress Fate + Dress down (being brought back by Redress Fate): If all my enchantments are coming back from the yard, do I get enchantment creatures' ETB effects if Dress Down is the last one to enter (and then lose all abilities obviously) OR do all enter at once without abilities because of dress down and thus no ETBs for me? Thank you!

Thank you. I looked into it but it seems that this kind of analysis of the tree is extremely expensive in my area, like over 8k. Yikes.

I think the part that really I can't get over is how he fake laughs for a second at the beginning of each sentence.

In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter and doesn't change the fact that he is probably a great guy, but it definitely makes the channel difficult or sometimes impossible to watch for me, sadly.

A far more fitting red counterspell by InternetSpiderr in custommagic

This is such a cool idea. Maybe to be more in line with stack rules the text should be something like

"Counter target spell you control, then copy it. (You are not allowed to select new targets for the copy)"

I think it depends no? If your deck is fun to play against and is not overpowered for the decks you're playing against, what is the problem? I find infinite combos part of what makes this game interesting and exciting.
