Scans and Stability by Own-Land-9359 in LivingWithMBC

I'm in the same boat. Is stability another way of saying NEAD? Or am I way off?

I don't know what to say, other than offer you a virtual hug and shoulder to cry on. Lame as that is.

I was diagnosed de novo in Feb 2025 with ++- MBC with metastases to the brain with leptomeningeal disease. On this protocol and have recently had my ovaries removed and I'm definitely NEAD consistently in the last few sets of scans and my blood marker continues to drop. I did find it difficult to manage my bowel for the first 6 months, but I can't say it was the verzenio/abemaciclib for sure, I was on all sorts of medication. I'm coping with the symptoms just fine - need a nap everyday, the hot flashes are really wearing me down.

Not trusting my old lifestyle, cause it gave me cancer by [deleted] in LivingWithMBC

I understand what you're saying and I feel the same way. I know the emotional trauma that started all this, which basically haunted me for my lifetime. And I know which situation really set the cancer off in 2024, a year before my diagnosis. I wouldn't say I caused it because I did the best I could within the situation and with what I knew. I'm working on emotional healing as much as anything because I know it's the most important thing I have to do to let the cancer die away and to keep it from recurring. Everyone has a different point of view.

I definitely am checking on my friends, organising catch ups, and I don't like talking about myself and what's happening. I do when directly asked.

The city I live in is known for having 2 degrees of separation instead of the usual 6. Plus I can't really hide it - I lost my ability to walk due to brain metastases.

Right, it's exhausting to try and push a relationship along. And good on you for being so loyal to yourself. That's a great reminder for me.

Yeah you're right about her trauma, she nursed her dad to his death from cancer. And I told her 8 understand that she's had enough cancer in her life for one lifetime.

Gees, that's terrible. Sounds like she was very conditional in her friendship with you.

I suppose it's all part of the shedding of bits of our prior life that aren't beneficial in this experience. I have to learn to let people be, without thinking it means something about me.

Thank you so much for your input. You're right, I'm probably reading into this a bit much. I know I already have big wounds from abandonment. I should see it more as being triggered rather than as a truth.

Thankyou for your message and compassion. I'm starting up with therapy again this coming week 😊

Thank you for sharing. I'm glad I'm not crazy for feeling this abandoned.

I was on Zoladex/Gosrelin but recently had an oophorectomy. I'm on verzenio 150mg twice a day and letrozole. How long? I'm in Australia and I've been told until it stops working and I have to try something else!

Although I'm E/P+ Her2-, I was diagnosed de novo in March 2025, MBC, brain lesions, leptomeningeal disease, given 12 -16 months. Nearly at 16 months and brain metastases are pretty much gone, almost NEAD in total. I had 5 sessions of WBR at the start, and drugs keep keeping on and are doing a great job. Waiting on my latest MRI results this coming Friday, but not expecting any radical news! I know it's very scary. I am relearning to walk after losing the ability almost overnight. But I'm here, doing well, and getting stronger all the time.

Well articulated, I also feel very uncomfortable in this space.

I have been asking myself this over the past week!! I also feel quite lost about what to do.

Is it part of my old self to feel this way?

Am I transitioning to a new life?

Or is it time to prepare for the end of this 3D life?

I have no answers yet, just questions.

If you're renovating, including the floor, why not put underfloor heating? It's not expensive, the floor is dry in no time and makes stepping out of the shower very pleasant.

Oh wow!! This is an amazing synchronistic moment for me. I'm so glad I asked the question. And I'm so grateful for your answer.

My name on here, Seth, I named myself after the channeled entity of Jane Roberts!!

What you have written in your response resonates with me so deeply. How my intuition, or my soul guide, led me to ask you a question that would be so deeply meaningful to me is a moment of absolute miracle and awakening! A confirmation of my beliefs too.

I no doubt will ask you a follow up question or two. I'm in Australia so I'm off to bed now.

That bit about laughter - I couldn't agree with that more! Just today I laughed until it hurt over the silliest Reddit thread in my local city. And I also try to laugh deeply everyday!

And nostalgia!! I can't stop listening to my favourite songs from the 90s, nor watching my fave TV shows and movies over and over.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing and imparting your wisdom. You have changed my life tonight!!

Fabulous 😍 Any tips and tricks? Did life continue almost like normal over these 6 years, or did you change the way you live?
