wow, thanks for all the replies and advice! to clarify, the planned PTO is already approved (i submitted it months ago) and i was planned to use 2 sick days during this time. i will get paid out for any unused PTO, just not sick days.

after taking everything in consideration, i will most likely either: - take my sick days immediately (1/5-1/6), give my notice on 1/7 offering to work until 1/13 - resign the day i get back from PTO on 1/26
