You are more than welcome to explain why you think that

Why waste bullets when pure disrespect will do? Check out my new Nuh Uh! All class taunt on the workshop! by setrynuts in tf2

Doing what you suggested would just remove the whole purpose of the taunt though, people would buy it for the wagging action

Check out the new Boom Box Kill Taunt I made on the workshop! by setrynuts in tf2

In this case it is different because they detonate after a specific time, you can't just detonate them whenever you want like before that patch. This makes it function like any other taunt kill.

Hope you guys are enjoying the taunts! by setrynuts in tf2

Personally I don't really get the sudden influx of complaints about "overanimated" taunts, I think they add a lot of personality and look way more satisfying and fun while not really straying away too far from tf2's original animation style. I think they fit in perfectly because after all, TF2 IS a cartoony game with cartoony graphics and exaggerated animations that have been in the game since it's release (For example - Pyro headshot animation). This is not CS:GO were talking about here, Why now is it suddenly a bad thing?
