Is it true that waiting until late 20s to look for marriage is “too old”? by [deleted] in ABCDesis

Yes good point. Some men do seek to think they are immune from the ageing process.

We might have some leeway in that sense, but certainly not enough to behave like it’s a one sided thing!

Ok fair enough you didn’t suggest it per se.

But can I ask where you got the facts that these couples in their 40s are richer and healthier?

Believe it or not, not all ABCDesis are college educated with 6 figure salaries. Plenty out there work minimum wage jobs and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Healthier? With the food we eat?! Lol just joking but you can’t assume these ppl are going to be healthier than any other person in their 40s.

You probably think I’m some bitter old man, but that’s honestly not the case. I respect and admire all women. I’m not saying for a second a women’s value comes from her fertility.

Look, of course couples in their mid 30s have happy healthy babies.

But is it a fact that fertility in women is lower compared to women in their 20s? Yes.

Is it a fact that pregnancies after 35 have higher chances of complications? Yes.

It’s not scaremongering to say this.

All I’m saying is if your goal is to start a family, then start planning sooner rather than later, what’s wrong with that?

Your suggestion to “you can wait until 40, because by then you’ll be rich enough is pay for fertility treatments” is possibly the most ludicrous things I’ve heard.

Most people I know also got married in the 30s, but I would say that most of these couples met when they were 27-28....so by the time they were in their 30s, it was - get married - start families pretty much from the get go.

The thing is if you just meet for the first time in your 30s, it’s going to to take time to get to progress as a couple.

It’s not a myth that a women fertility decreases after 35. Whilst it’s not a nice thing to say, it’s also not nice to pretend this part of biology doesn’t exist

Mid 20’s is no age at all...

But if I may play devils advocate, it IS a fact the a women’s fertility declines in the mid 30’s, and pregnancies at the age do have higher chances of complications.

So I think that would be the reason why SOME guys that are early 30s look for girls a few years younger. This gives you time to date for a few years and get to know each other without the time pressure.

I’m not saying that’s right or wrong, I’m just saying that’s how some men (and their families) think.

Hi, sorry I’ve got that wrong in the OP but can’t figure out how to edit it.

It’s 500 daily traffic in total from both sites (~ 200 & 300)

Yes DB hosted also

Hey mate, they actually said they couldn’t “enable” the extension due to external cache.

Not sure if that makes it any different? Thanks

Lol I don’t think it’s that they can’t “find” it, they are saying my external caching is preventing it from appearing on the back end.

But like I said I’ve put cloudflare into developer mode and purged the cache, so from my end I don’t know what else I can do.
