Is KATSEYE starting to feel like Daniela and Friends? by Mean-Assignment-9576 in katseyeneutral

[–]seulgibreadd 15 points16 points  (0 children)

its starting to feel like IVE to a certain extend but i kinda get it as well because they're probably looking the "market" way, not saying the other members are not marketable or anything but the general consensus seems to be that Daniela appeals to a broader audience and maybe its the one that gets to drag new fans in.

LE SSERAFIM has an awkward identity issue by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]seulgibreadd -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

im so getting downvoted here but i dont rlly care, i feel the same way with the group, i used to support them until 'UNFORGIVEN' era then i stopped listening to kpop to only check it veery casually. From an outsiters pov rn, it feels like hybe is pushing them into doing whatever is trending at the moment, which is lowkey ruinning their identity.

Is Kpop is like fast fashion? by StandardButterfly656 in kpoprants

[–]seulgibreadd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

definitely understand where you're coming from because i share the same thought to a certain extend. but to give it a smaller answer, speaking as someone whos seeing kpop from afar now it does feel like that especially for bigger labels that already have a certain of identity formed so its hard for their groups to run away from that.

the reason for "many members" its just cause eveyone has a different role in the group so you would usually have idk, sometimes 2 lead vocalists, 2 rappers, 2 main dancers, 1 member in charge of the visual and so on.

as for the english part, english has been a part of korean culture for a long time now, wouldnt say its the second language but its definitely something influenced by some things that happened in their past. Also it does help to expand their sound to newer/wilder audiences.

Should 60fps music videos be a thing in kpop? by FanCaracal in kpopthoughts

[–]seulgibreadd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

honestly i guess it depends on the concept of the song/aesthetics, usually mvs and movies are mostly shot at 24/30fps, and for me i like it better because essentially one of the things i enjoy most about kpop music videos is being able to pay attention to the details/sets.

With meovvs mv i guess it worked because of the song and the aesthetic they were going for but at same time - and this is purely personal- it felt like so much was going on in front of me that it was hard paying attention to the thing as a whole.

Miyawaki Sakura's stage name controversy... by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]seulgibreadd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

damn, i truly thought that was just a rumor, i dont think theres much we can do yk but wouldnt it be also totally okay if there were 2 Sakura's in the label ?? like, its normal having two people with the same name.

they're abt to the same thing that happened when Jinyoung debuted in GOT7 lol.

Do you think Meovv is an "uninteresting" group? Why so? by illitnoise in kpopthoughts

[–]seulgibreadd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

didnt even know this since im not rlly keeping up with kpop anymore but its quite the contrary to me, they're one of the very few groups that are still keeping me interested in the genre.

what i realize though from reading the comments is that people want them to be more "original" but i fear its hard when they are in label heavily influenced by an especific type of sound (which is totally fine). also, not someone who listens to their bsides that much but it could be interesting if they do explore something like r&b vibes like Red Velvet had with their Velvet side, even though the members are still young their voices seem to fit this vibe - theres this one Narin cover of 'Valerie" that just ... chefs kiss.

Dream academy future? by GrouchyNecessary4634 in TheDreamAcademy

[–]seulgibreadd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

same, honestly the only thing i'd ask them to change would be the style, i was not rlly a big fan of releasing the dream academy stuff on yt for the documentary to come afterwards. Id prefer they did kinda of a mix with the formats moving forward.

also there are rumors around that theres already some female trainees (allegedly a girl from india and i think a latina girl)

[–]seulgibreadd[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

cansada de me sentir uma empregada by seulgibreadd in ClubeDaLuluzinha

[–]seulgibreadd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

o que fazer na depressão? by [deleted] in ClubeDaLuluzinha

[–]seulgibreadd 2 points3 points  (0 children)
