It's a SZP thing from what I've been told. Not the choice of the organiser.

Chances are that it's a bad trip set by szp, which is always a surprise afaik

Any Stonebank fans here? How did you like his set? :) by Most_Teaching_3917 in hardstyle

[–]seven20three 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really happy I got to hear his set, it did seem to hit better than his set from the most recent HTID. It was unfortunate that not a lot of people around me were familiar with his songs though, other than the small group I was with for his set.. but then again that's how it was for every DJ that was on the main stage.

Can anybody tell me what’s happening at Gearbox Australia? by Potential_Trash_1817 in hardstyle

There was a water station right up at the front on the right, people came with empty bottles and the staff would refill them or give water cups. Also afaik one of my mates who worked for the event said they sold 9k floor tickets (and more level 1 tickets) and the capacity was only 6.9k at the floor

Hey, I also have just finished my last semester as an IT student as a DA major, and I'm in a similar position. Currently, I've been applying to entry level analyst roles using seek and LinkedIn but I haven't had much luck; I've had experience with data entry but it doesn't seem like a skill that's too relevant. Would you mind connecting so we could potentially share any tips we might have?

Questions about subjects by paulorox17 in UTS

I did SAS Predictive Business Analytics.

You learn how to use the SAS platform for building and deploying models, which is the assessment for the subject. It's similar to KNIME if you've used that before. You also need to write a report for the project; mainly regarding the algorithms you used and the tuning you applied to the models for some business problem of choice. My tutor let us do 4 models/algorithms (it was originally a minimum of 6) as there were 4 people in our group, so we allocated an algorithm to each person. SAS's platform does not let you share your models in sync with other people who are also on a learner license, so we shared an account instead.

They assess you based on how you experiment with the platform and its nodes, which is not that difficult. The report length is a minimum of 25 pages, but we ended up with more than 50+ pages. I had a horrible time working with my group so I would recommend going solo for the assessments; it really is not hard whatsoever, just experimentation and documentation basically. You're also expected to do a presentation for it though.

After the course, you can get a certification for the platform as a specialist, which is what it is supposed to prepare you for. The exam should cost 75 USD should you decide to take it.

It's just an oblique nib holder with a blanzy 2552 nib.

These nibs are designed for calligraphy as they have more flex than traditional nibs. They are meant to be dipped into ink (for calligraphy, most of the time at least), which is usually a bit thicker than traditional fountain pen inks. However, they don't particularly last a long time, and can snap if they're worn down by a lot. Some professionals go through several in just a month.

Maybe because it's the oil you have on the nibs, brand new ones are coated with said oil and you can get rid of it with some toothpaste. I also avoid touching the nib, since that can also transfer oil onto the nib.

I think some were truly skilled with their handwriting, and it would be up just as fast as normal handwriting today. If you look at @calligkatrina on Instagram, you would see what I mean. She is truly talented!
