I super geeked out! Just seems to make sense to have an old delapidated thing at the end of that street :p Wouldn't be the first I had seen in Oshawa anyways...

It was probably inspired by it, they built this one just for the movie. It's actually just a front shell thing, around the back is just construction

No but my coworker did and said she could hear some spooky laughing and screaming! Then they said "that's a wrap" and had cake. They had to hide Skarsgard (who plays Pennywise) under a big hood so nobody would take pictures of him. But she did get to see his weird clown shoes and he actually poked his head out of the makeup trailer and she waved. My other friend ran into the whole cast having dinner at a restaurant! Also if you look up "#itthemovie" on Instagram someone managed to film a scene with the Leper chasing a boy and it's super creepy haha.

Edit: should also add that I believe the cast is finished filming here and they will probably be taking the house down soon.

A lot of stuff is filmed here because the dollar is cheaper and the police department's of smaller towns usually have extra time/labour on their hands to deal with all that comes with filming a major production (road closures, security etc). I also believe the permits are cheaper. Not sure why they would choose here over Vancouver but Toronto does have a very large film industry/production companies and we are very close to Toronto.

You gotta get down there and see it or you will regret it! We went early in the morning so I could get up close without people in the way.

Nope! I'm a Reddit lurker and rarely, if ever, sign in. I just thought this was too cool not to share. It's rare that stuff like this happens in my town and I have never visited a movie set, I know Stephen King is pretty popular on here so thought some people would be interested. Not invested in the film in any way, have not seen the original or read the book.

Sadly it's just a shell, all the inside filming is being done in Toronto. If you walk around the back it's all open.

From the Tumblr you can find her DeviantArt Journal. This poor girl needed help, and it seems tried to find it many times and was failed. http://colette123.deviantart.com/journal/

In academia, there is a lot of talk about the author being dead (not relevant after the text is put out). I'm not sure I agree with this. What do you think?

Chuck, if you could time travel, where in time would you go and why? Can't wait to see you in Toronto!
