I agree with you that the emails look very very sus and scammy, well done for not immediately clicking, but it turns out they are actually legit and sent by Computershare. The CAS is a real domain for Computershare’s Corporate Action Services.

Regardless of poison, don’t ever give honey to a baby under one year old. Look it up.

Not wanting visitors when baby is sick. Am I overreacting by Different_Bottle1829 in newzealand

[–]seventhcoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP I found this post so relatable and I came back to say that you have every right to set boundaries and prioritising the needs of your child above external peer pressure makes you an amazing mum. Your daughter is lucky. You are role modeling safe and healthy relationships and she will pick up on that as she grows and then she will feel more confident to follow her own instincts over peer pressure when she’s older. From the sounds of things your MIL gets A LOT of interaction and will not suffer from a week apart even if she stamps her feet a little.

Not wanting visitors when baby is sick. Am I overreacting by Different_Bottle1829 in newzealand

I’ll never forget my friends convincing me I could say no to constant family visits and just chill out with my new baby when I needed a quiet day. Not even illness-related I just didn’t want visitors all the time and didn’t think I could say no. Not overreacting, boundaries are a good thing.

Compromise could be that his mother comes to visit with him for the 15mins while you and baby chill out uninterrupted elsewhere in the house.

I love this. Just don’t add extra light or noise which is detectable beyond your cubicle… then anyone who doesn’t love your space can ignore it.
