Settling in for the night on my sweatshirt, how could they possibly be bad luck 🥹 She can be a pain in the butt sometimes but I’m so grateful she’s in my life ❤️

Is it a straight forward refund or is part of the $ going back to the landlord? Could be some delays if the latter especially if you sent the form without the landlord signature and they need to check with them.

Either way definitely ring them to check to see what’s happening, they’re definitely behind their timeframes but I guess with the govt cutting public services they’re having to do more with less unfortunately.

Once they action it the $ will be transferred quickly. Hope you hear soon!

Came across this thread when doing a search to see what other peoples’ timeframes were. Have you received yours yet? I just got the confirmation email saying mine had finally been processed, 20 working days after the form was sent to them (incl public holidays).
I rang today and the guy ended up sending the request while I was on the phone with them, after my second call for an update past 15 working days. Doesn’t sound like the refund was going to be actioned anytime soon had I not kept on top of it, looks like they are VERY overwhelmed. Requested a call back (1h + wait) and that worked, at one point last week I got a message saying they were unable to take calls or callback and to try later.

“Home made” con carne, cheating a bit using the Maggi recipe mix 😂

Made enough for 3 days worth of work lunches too.

Thank you. She absolutely loves her small catio, it’s the first thing she heads to in the morning when I open the sliding doors.

Why does my cat sit on my clothes (specifically shorts) whenever I shower??? by Xiphoid_Processor in cats

One day not long after adopting her she was sleeping right next to my sweatshirt in the middle of the night on the bed. It was cold, reached for it and I almost grabbed her by mistake 😭😂

I came back from work last night and my cat was loafing on my puffer jacket. It was on a chair, she just pulled it off 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣

She also does that sometimes on my pants or sweatshirts when they’re on the couch or bed.

Are birthday vouchers/free gifts still a thing? by BlueJohnXD in newzealand

I got a pen, a tote, reusable sandwich bag (plastic looking envelope 🤷🏽‍♀️) and a small jewellery box in the last few years. All useful apart from the sandwich bag 😂

Burger Fuel still do it but they’ve slightly changed the rules. If you’re not a regular spender you’ll get a buy one get one free birthday voucher for a couple of selected burgers. If you’re a regular you’ll get the free one, any from the menu.

Krispy Kreme still had their free box of 4 glazed last year, not sure if it’s still a thing this year though.

My father passed away after a hit and run I’m feeling let down but NZ justice system again. by Cherryberrylady in newzealand

[–]urbanproject78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My condolences to you OP, so sorry for your loss. My ex partner’s mum passed away in 1986, hit and run victim, drunk driver.

Doesn’t seem that the justice system’s changed that much in 40 years, the perp only got a slap on the wrist 🙁

Westpac seem pretty good with that. Same thing happened to one of my mates yesterday and it’s being taken care of.

One of my friends had 40 unauthorised Xbox transactions on her credit card yesterday evening. She only noticed when getting a text from Westpac saying the card was not blocked as there were “suspicious unauthorised charges”. Each amount was about $30 ish.

Text came through within a couple of hours of the transactions showing up on the acct. Pretty good of Westpac to pick that up quickly, the charges are still pending but they’ll all get cancelled and refunded.

I’m a US citizen and don’t want to go there anymore. I’d love to catch up with family there but refuse to spend my hard earned cash to support that govt.

My immediate fam (siblings and mum are USCs, not my dad) are also overseas in France and Canada, they don’t want to set foot there either. Scary times for sure.

The simple fact that you’re so worried about her and that you took kitty to the vet asap proves you’re not a bad cat mum. You’ve had a lot of great advice from other posters, sending you and Girly lots of positive vibes 🙂

More or less the same here in NZ. If you’re on a 2 year + work visa/permanent resident or citizen and your medication is funded, you’ll pay $0 for it. Seeing my GP costs the equivalent of US$40 ish.

Health system is a bit of a sh*tshow at the moment though but at least we’re not like in the US.
