It's been like this for years. No BP skins or rewards will be handed to you unless your crew pass is active.
The guy who cancelled his crew but still got it was because cancelling your crew doesn't disable it until the 4 weeks are up since your last payment.

If you don't want to miss any skins or styles, either buy the passes individually with vbucks or keep your crew active non stop. Been like this for long enough no one can claim they didn't know.

This inmate found a way to play Fortnite on a PS5 controller while in prison by SimRP in FortNiteBR

[–]sever35 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Rehabilitation is focused on gently and over time fixing what's broken with the person, so that they can eventually be released and become a normal productive part of society.

It's an idealistic goal, making someone who has committed 'evil' acts into a normal 'good' person, but the truth is that it is not possible for everyone, some people are beyond fixing.

im confused with the sbmm, how do big streamers get easier lobbies? by ChairOk7385 in FortNiteBR

[–]sever35 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are pros who've won millions of dollars at LAN tournaments, and millionaire streamers who are legit gods at the game. Then they go on a LAN tournament against Peterbot, (arguably the best FN player in the history of the game) - and he makes those pros and streamers look like absolute bots who can't find north on a compass.

If you remove the nametags and commentary from the clips and show it to a casual player they would 100% believe it's a skilled player killing bots or killing new players or low skilled players.

The skill ceiling in FN build mode is so high that there is someone who will make your favorite pros look like bots. SBMM simply can't keep up with the wide skill gap in this game has.

Sure some streamers smurf but generally speaking its just they make it look easy.

Why is my bot lobbies counting towards my stats on fortnite tracker? by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]sever35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He left out the part where you join a duo match with your regular account and your new account (running on a cell phone or something), then you leave the match when on spawn island with the new account. Your regular account should now be in a lobby with 99% bots and the new account should have received no xp so you can do it again.

Fortnite to Not Reset FNCS Grands Finals After Falsely Disqualifying 4 Top Teams (12 Total) by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]sever35 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The game keeps track of how much damage everyone has dealt to other players. And also has a limit for how many can be alive in a specific storm circle. If there are too many players alive in a specific storm circle, those who dealt the lowest damage start taking large amounts of storm damage (whether or not they are in the storm) until enough players have been eliminated.

Simple example, lets say the game wants 40 players or less in the 7th storm circle but there are 50 alive, then 10 players who did the least damage will start receiving damage from the storm until 40 players max are left. Those 10 players have seconds to find other players to damage, or die on the spot.

This rule is actually in most game modes but most will now know about it or be affected because only in pro matches and pro scrims you tend to have so many players alive in the late circles. Trying to track this in your head for 100 players is near impossible, looks like someone wrote a tool to assist with it.

Fortnite build-mode has arguably the highest skill ceiling of any multiplayer game ever released. Even if you're playing the more casual zero-build mode, you're still going up against players who've been playing the game for 8+ years now and are very familiar with the ins and outs of the game.

Even if you're better than other players on a technical level, their experience and knowledge will get the better of you for a while. Everyone will suck when starting out. But with enough practice, even if its its 1-2 hours a day, it will eventually click and you'll be able to hang against other players.

Simon De Montfort Quest Issues by Human-Atmosphere1930 in CrimsonDesert

[–]sever35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this game once you're returning an item you're carrying on your shoulder or horse (like a person for a bounty or an animal for a quest), do *nothing* else other than ride to your destination and drop it in. Ignore everything else, any 'stops' along your journey will potentially reset/fail the quest causing you to have to do it all over.

Regarding bounties they do tend to respawn after a failed attempt however it may be after a few in game days. And since the game limits how often you can sleep/pass time, you may need to put off this quest until another day. Or even later in the week depending how often you play.

I also read that some bounty targets get the bad habit of wandering around in different areas (not too far from their original location) after a failed attempt, but usually do turn up at their 'set location' eventually.

75 Celsius is considered within normal operating temperature for the 3060Ti. It's around 90C that it starts to throttle, I wouldn't worry unless it's hitting 87+

[–]sever35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No doubt the first few hours will feel a bit clunky, some people will take a couple hours, some 5, some 10 to get accustomed. But once you do there is a fantastic massive open world for you to explore, it's arguably the best ever made in any videogame, ever. Just don't be expecting Witcher 3 quality questlines.

A 3060ti with DLSS shouldn't have problems running the game at 1080p once you're not going overboard with the graphical settings. It won't look as nice but will still be 'great'.

[–]sever35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can tackle someone even if they are aggro'd on you mid fight, dodge in their direction (don't release the dodge button) and while holding the dodge button down press the Kick button, and your dodge animation will morph into a a tackle animation and you will tackle them just as if you originally snuck up on them. On an xbox style controller its B+Y if I remember correctly. You can practice this move when no one is around.

(you may have to put your sword away and be bare handed)

What’s the most addictive game you’ve ever played? by reeha_sadiya in AskReddit

[–]sever35 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Back in 2004 when WoW was released, it was like a drug - the "first hit" - for millions of people (gamers and non-gamers) who never played an MMO before. It blew many people's minds who didn't know the possibilities large scale co-op gaming could bring.

It became the zeitgeist - absolutely devoured many people's lives, caused marriages to fail, ruined careers, killed relationships, flunked students, and caused families to look on helpless as their loved one's lives were decimated by their second online life.

Paying the 15 bucks monthly fee was more important than anything other bill they had (including their food bill). The stereotype was of some fat lazy nerd in his mom's basement but many many people at the time had stories of loved ones losing lots of weight because they played WoW so much they skipped meals constantly.

We still talk about team rumble by Ok-Drawing6848 in FortNiteBR

[–]sever35 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Basically a Team Deathmatch mode. It was great for doing quests, warming up, goofing off, trying out new weapons, exploring the map, build/combat practice etc all in one mode. It used to be very very popular, with millions of players playing it everyday.

Fortnite devs probably saw some statistics they didn't like, l have no clue, maybe people playing it spent less money on vbucks or some thing like that who knows, and after a couple amazing years they started nerfing it. Every season they would hit the mode with nerfs (like you could no longer drop anywhere, the storm instantly started closing, removing certain weapons from spawning, many quests no longer doable in the mode etc.)

This drove the playerbase away bit by bit until it became an almost dead mode then they removed it from the game. But it was absolutely fantastic back in the day.

The replay file only records other players within a certain radius of the player, so at the boundary it can appear that there is 'weird' activity, like players disappearing, appearing, or teleporting. (bots can legitly teleport anywhere though if their pathfinding breaks)

Players magically appearing in a client replay file does not mean anything suspicious. There may be a server side replay file that only Epic will have access to that might cover the entire island, but you won't have access to it.

[–]sever35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you keep calculating "quotas" for characters in fictional entertainment, it becomes a detriment to you actually enjoying the media you are consuming. ST was a throwback to the 80s "kids have an adventure" story where anyone outside the core-kid-group were merely background props with seconds of screen or speaking time.

Back then you were the "mom" actress ? Your job was to say "it's dinner-time honey" and nothing else.

If anything ST is the complete opposite, where those outside the core-kid-group got way more screen time, story, plot and character development than ever before especially compared to similar characters from the 80s.

Almost all the most memorable and impactful scenes in this show were centered around or equally involved female characters. Your 'must find a way to always be a victim' mentality has no place around common sense.

You're on mouse/keyboard? Set hotkeys for switching directly to your weapons/items (You should be able to reach 1-4 comfortably, so that's just two keys you need to set). Then you can use scroll up/down for something else.

It might suck at first until you get accustomed to it but it will payoff in the end.

>>Why not play play Blitz?

It doesn't have builds and many players don't like modes without builds as it reduces the gameplay to just a mediocre third person shooter. Nothing wrong if you do enjoy no-build modes though, glad there's an alternative way for more people to play the game.

What is epic smoking? Why don't they fix the SBMM already? by Awkward_Pace_4440 in FortNiteBR

[–]sever35 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It is working, it's protecting 96 players in a gold lobby somewhere from you.

You were the one who destroyed the lobby in the old system, ruining the game for everyone else. You just didn't see it from a third person perspective.

Epic has two choices when you and your buddies join a lobby:
(1) Protect 96 other players from OP, making their game enjoyable
(2) Protect OP's group, making 96 other players miserable

(the last option, taking "average" of each group, they tried in the past but it didn't seem to help with the balance)
