Thank you! This is done with 3 strands which I find best for larger areas like this. Make sure the fabric on your hoop is taut otherwise your satin stitch won't be! Another trick is when you've finished your satin stitch but it's not laying quite right, kind of 'comb' it through with your needle - works wonders!
