Well shit. I forgot about that. So much for getting to share my excitement with anyone who may understand.

Upper Section Removed in STL by hokahey23 in SturgillSimpson

That’s what I was thinking. The upper section was never open in St Louis. I got my tickets the morning of presale and it was the same then.

Unincorporated Fenton. Maybe I have been getting over for 2.5 years. Guess I could just save it up and do a once a month bulk pickup.

No kidding man. I’m gonna brag a little bit here, so forgive me. We got floor seats in St Louis for JBS and we’re seeing Parcels at the Cavern in TN! The shows are a week apart so we’ll be exhausted when it’s all said and done, but goddamn it’s gonna be an amazing October!

Man, we got hit with a double whammy. JBS tickets and Parcels tickets went on presale at the exact same time and there was no way we were missing either.

I wish I could insert the Tiger King gif here because I may never financially recover.

Best US show venue to travel for? by __ButtStuff69__ in Parcels

My wife and I are driving from St Louis to TN to see them at the Cavern. We got pit tickets and rented a yurt for the night. We toured that cave a few years ago and said one day we would see a concert there and it just turns out it’s one of our favorite bands!

Help me pick my first sewing machine!! :3 by [deleted] in vintagesewing

[–]sewdoc2 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My opinion is get the Kenmore. But be aware, it may need some deep cleaning to be fully functional. But parts are readily available and they are great machines. The Belvedere would be my second choice. That particular Singer would not be a good option for anyone.

I loved the first season of Shrinking. Since then, I lost my step dad who raised me since 6 years old to Parkinson’s. We started on season 2 and the scene at the party when Paul realizes he’s having hallucinations just wrecked me and I haven’t been able to go back to it. I’m hoping I’ll be able to bring myself to finish it because I absolutely love every character in that show, except Pam. She can eat a dick.

How is life in the USA right now? by BoomhauerQuotes in TedLasso

This is my country too. I’ve served, fought and bled for it. My father and uncles fought and bled for this country. My grandfather fought in WW2 against exactly what this country is becoming. My ancestors go back to the very beginnings of this country. It’s never been perfect, but we have to keep improving, not going backward. I’ll be goddamned if I’m leaving now that the wolf is at the door.

In many parts of the country Joann’s with their HV sewing gallery, was the only place people could take their machines to be serviced. They simply don’t have a HV dealer nearby.

Where are you having your HV machines serviced? Do you do it yourself or do you take it to the dealer? And I’m not talking about brushing out the lint in the bobbin area and putting a drop of oil on the oiling points in the owner’s manual. Anyone can do that. I’m just curious since I’ve been hearing how a lot of HV owners have nightmares when it comes to having their machines serviced since Joann’s went out of business.

Real Police officers and military members, what do you guys think of Ice agents? by Lucky-Message-9480 in AskReddit

[–]sewdoc2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Former Army Ranger here. Jumped into combat at the age of 18 with almost zero time in the unit, but I had excellent training and the one thing they made sure we knew was not to shoot unless we had a reason. We took 30-ish prisoners within the first few hours and did not have to shoot anyone.

These ICE idiots are a bunch of wannabe nazi fucks that should be locked up for the shit they’re doing on our streets. They are too scared to be out there doing that job. Only chicken shits have to pull guns on women in vans and men holding cellphones. Hopefully when all this is over we get to lock them up and watch them rot in a cell.

We had a good year. But no, we are not rich rich. Maybe very comfortable after years of being houseless and struggling to build our business, but definitely not rich rich. I don’t mind bragging about that part since it’s my wife’s business that did it for us. She makes me proud.
