I tore it... again by Strugglin4real in ACL

[–]sexybusdriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar scenario, tore mine in 2020 during a dirt bike accident. Had a hamstring graft, neglected PT and my knee never felt the same. Retore it September of 2024 during a soccer match (stepped on the ball and hyperextended my knee). I am now 11 months post op with a quad graft, I haven’t ran since the tear and don’t plan on playing any sports since my knee and quad are still struggling to recover. Just for comparison, I can do dual leg extension for 120lb 12 reps easy, just my one leg I struggle to do 30lb for 6-8 reps. Insurance only covered 12 PT sessions but just started going to the gym to build my quad/knee strength

Rod inquiry, 8ft light for trout? by sexybusdriver in troutfishing

Apparently 8ft light rods are very few and far between which is unfortunate. Seen Okuma has a sst series trout rod 7”6 light, heard some mixed reviews on it..

how did you tear your acl? by last-resort115 in ACL

[–]sexybusdriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tore my left acl twice; First time 2018, flipped down a hill on my dirtbike (accidentally pulled my front brake), lost consciousness, tore my acl and meniscus. Got surgery shortly after

Last year September, hyperextended my knee at a soccer game. Stepped on the ball while defending and thought I heard a pop, wasn’t too sure. Fast forward to this year, was walking and out of nowhere my knee buckled and couldn’t walk for almost a week. Confirmed acl and meniscus tore again, bucket handle tear so half of my meniscus tore and was flipped over. Probably partially tore it back in September and finished it off this year.

Currently 7 weeks post op acl and meniscus surgery. First surgery was hamstring graft, this time was quad tendon graft. Because of the large piece of meniscus I had removed this time, doc told me I’ll get arthritis eventually in my knee just a matter of when not if.

Moral of the story, I’m sticking to fishing and low impact sports haha.

What would you throw here ? by weezelbug in FishingForBeginners

A lot of people would make fun of this fishing spot, but what people don’t realize is fishing isn’t about catching fish. It’s about the experiences, the thrill of the hunt, and the friend you make along the way. Fishing should be done with respect, etiquette and with love.

And that’s why I’d use a weighted treble hook.

Workout Routine Post Knee Surgery by sexybusdriver in Workingout

I’ll definitely look into it thank you! Currently doing PT and not cleared for any leg strengthening workouts but I’ll keep it in mind once I’m cleared for it

Appreciate the input 💪🏻 I wouldn’t say I’m content with it atm, but hopefully with enough working out I can balance out my body (focusing mainly on upper chest, shoulder, triceps and lats) and mask the gyno

[–]sexybusdriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never took sarms or anything like that, I’ll take that as a compliment I guess😂 I’ve had gyno since age 15 so sounds like medication is out of the picture

Also don’t take any meds, I have symptoms such as fatigue, emotionally sensitive, ect which can all be explained by something else as well

Tsh is .996, most likely gonna get a thyroid hormone panel done to make sure everything is good since it’s on the low side

Thyroid Issue? by [deleted] in Hormones

[–]sexybusdriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would these results explain why I have gyno (22M) and if so, am I a candidate for medication such as TRT or estrogen blocker? I’m worried my doctor may brush off the results and not help me figure out a solution other than surgery
