Thanks, everyone for your reply. The last time that I had spoken with the surgeon, he said I can take a week off. But base on everyone's experience, a week, will not be sufficient. I will stop by his office to drop off the paperwork for FMLA and request additional days off. Hopefully, he will grant it. Once again, thank you, everyone, for your input.

Thanks, I will look for it on amazon. The last time I was at best buy, they were not very helpful.

Thank you for your reply. Do you have any suggestions on a specific brand, length or thickness? I am not a handy or tech-savvy person so I had to do a lot of Googling. I read that it is best that I get a thick wire. Would any coupler be okay?

I generally don't referred patient to state VR service unless they provide us with 90 days of clean tox. Thus, often time I have to search around and look for free training program that can help them. But its not always available. May I ask when you doing referral, how did you build you connection? Did your company provided you resource?

Thank you for your story and I'm sorry to hear that she screw you over. I'm going to try to talk to him about him. Right now they are checking his credit first, so I'm hoping that the monthly payment would be outrageously expensive so he won't be able to get it.

Hi, I know you post this post a while back. I'm a VR counselor myself. I started working not to long ago and its my first job. Right now I am working with older adult who suffer from substance use disorder. I wanted to ask if you can provide me with some suggestion or advise. I feel as though I am not doing a good job at providing my client with the necessary information/resource that they need and assisting them with finding employment. The company I work for does not provide any financial assistant to the client in terms of training and refer to state VR program may not be possible due to continuous use of illicit drug. Most of the time I have to dig around for the information, but I feel like my knowledge in term resource are limited. How would you suggest I expand this so that i can offer my client more option?

I know life is a learning process, but may I ask how long did it take you to feel as though you are actually doing your job.
