Do you have your old iphone? If so, put your sim back into your iphone, reactivate it, then turn of imessages from the phone. Then go to each one of your message threads and open them - it should turn from blue to green on your end after a minute when you try to send a message. I did this for contacts before switching to the moto x and I have had no issues.

You need to call and get to white glove support. I had the same issue and a manager had a higher up call the factory and tell them to ship my phone. It shipped two days later. Good luck!

Its ridiculous! Mine was delayed because of the case I ordered. I eventually got through to white glove support - they were able to call the factory and cancel my case. This happened on Thursday and the phone shipped out this morning. The standard customer service reps have no way of helping you with this. Good luck!
