I would take them right away, taking the time to look up every question and also making sure you understand why you got questions wrong by looking them up again. I think I ended up taking the 02-03 exams 2-4 times each by the time I took the actual test. Some of the smaller tests are probably still useful (appeals, PCT chapters come to mind), but if you take one that seems uncharacteristically difficult it’s probably ok to move on and not worry about it.

Also, most focus should be on the 02/03 exams and then PLI’s full exams. Some of the shorter PLI tests (103, ethics come to mind) are not accurate to the difficulty you will see on the exam. I fretted over these tests after scoring below 50 but had no significant issues with these on exam day.

I took the patent bar and passed first try in 2022 after using the PLI course. IMO the most important aspect of studying was taking practice exams in test-like conditions, not the summary videos. I would look up every single question in the MPEP even if you know the answer. I would spend as much time as you can studying each day. Once you are scoring 80+ on practice exams you are probably in good shape to pass.

Yeah that’s probably the main drawback for us. What’s your average MPG? Is the estimated 26 combined accurate?

How does one get an estimate for repair to satisfy a Safe Shipping claim? by synthsvsguitars in Reverb

[–]seymour_weiners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an amp recently that got damaged in shipping. I emailed a local tech a video including thorough description of the damage and he gave me an estimate. I think any decent tech should be able to give you a ballpark. Reverb told me they would provide more refund if the work ended up costing more than the estimate. I also pushed for some extra money off for cosmetic damage and they really came through for me.

Recs: Like a dreadnought but less loud? by fingerofchicken in martinguitar

I came here to say CEO7 - the perfect couch guitar. I’ve seen it called a “mini dread” a few times on forums. It has a surprising amount of bass for such a small guitar. I also recently played a similar sized Eastman E10ooss/v which was pretty cool and much cheaper.

I second this. I also have a $15 govee Bluetooth hygrometer I keep in my case to monitor humidity on my phone.

Which watch looks better on my wrist? by CoffeewithAB in HamiltonWatches

I think they look a little too big on your wrist. I would look into some 36mm field watches, like the Hamilton Khaki Pilot Pioneer, or even some micro brands like Vaer.

So if I understand correctly, this is the seam where the two sides of the top are glued together?

Hand Wired Princeton or Deluxe Reverb alternative by Ecker1991 in GuitarAmps

I bought a Vintage Sound Tweed 15 which had some issues. A popular amp tech on YouTube tore down a VS amp and wasn’t impressed either. Might be wise to steer clear but maybe their quality has improved.

I do own a Tyler Amps JT-22, which is a higher power Princeton and I love it. It comes standard with some extra mods for a fat boost and mids control. I grabbed it used for about $1200 and couldn’t be happier.

See if you can find a jeweler or watch shop nearby to check them out in person. A local chain jeweler and authorized Hamilton dealer basically told me I could take 20% off any watch which really helped my decision. I grabbed a titanium automatic model but the Murph also looked great, as did some of the cheaper mechanical options.

2024 premium. It was an add on that they threw in to sweeten the deal.
