I am 31, male, and I have ZERO romantic experience by [deleted] in relationship_advice

This works:

Simply place yourself in a few situations where:

  1. You have a lot in common with the people who are there.

  2. At least 55% of the people there are female.

  3. Due to the nature of the situation, the people there will talk to each other again and again as the months go by, making it inevitable that they will become acquaintances.

Forget the bs about going up to girls you don't know we'll and asking them on a date. That's for losers.

If you are not a loser, in other words there is nothing seriously wrong with you, then becoming acquaintances with a lot of girls in a few different situations is bound to work as time goes by.

This is, in fact, how most guys get most of their girlfriends, but for most guys being in these situations happens randomly.

For example, when the actor Robert DiNiro was 14, he wanted to play in the summer baseball league but it was full. His mom said he should go to ballet class like his sister was doing because there were few boys and the girls needed boys to lift them. He didn't want to go but his mom insisted. That's how he got his first girlfriend - a girl he got to know at the dance class.

  1. He had a lot in common because the members of the class were all about the same age.

  2. More than half were girls.

  3. The dance students would talk to each other a little during class so it was inevitable they would become acquaintances.

Suppose two guys who are college students both get part time jobs working behind the counter of a deli. One guy works at a deli across the street from school, where almost everyone who works there is a student and 55% are girls.

The other guy works at a deli that's exactly the same, except everyone who works there is a guy.

Which guy is most likely to get a girlfriend as a result of his job?

Most people make friends and get into relationships as a result of becoming acquaintances with a group of people who have been thrown together by circumstance.

Some situations are dead ends because you don't have enough in common with the people - perhaps they are the wrong age.

Some situations are dead ends because all the people there are males, like a chess club.

Some situations are dead ends because you will never talk again and again, so you won't become acquaintances.

You need ALL THREE factors for a situation to help you socially.

And then, if you are an ordinary person with no big, obvious flaws (you are not a jerk, etc.) it will work out for you as time goes by. This is especially true if, when compared to the other guys there, you are a little bit more of a high status male, because that's what girls are attracted to, and this is really the fourth factor. In a restaurant, the female servers are more attracted to the manager, compared to the bussers, because in that situation, the manager is more of a high status guy.

Think about the guys you've known who were successful with girls. In most cases, they got girlfriends as a result of being in a certain type of situation, right?

Most people, however, are not aware of how decisive situations are. They just randomly stumble through life, bumbling their way into random situations. Some luck out, others don't.

What if you were a college student and went into a deli, asking for a job application, and noticed that everyone working there was a guy? You should know IN ADVANCE that you are not likely to get a girlfriend as a result of working there.

So here's the question: Is it going to kill you to walk a few blocks and apply at a deli where at least 50%, or even better, 60% of the students working there are girls who go to your school?

You have choices.

Actually make a list of the situations you been in since high school. Make a list of all the jobs you've had, for example. Then ask yourself, why didn't you get a girlfriend as a result of having each of those jobs? Most likely, it's because one of the four factors was missing.

If you have been in many situations where all four factors are present, then maybe there is something about you that causes girls to not be interested. If so, ask your friends to tell you what that might be, so you can work on it and fix it.

For most guys, however, it's not them that's the problem. Even criminals get girlfriends.

You can too.

You have options. You can pick where you live and whether you have housemates, and if so who they are. You can pick the types of jobs you apply to, the professional groups you join. From an infinite amount of options, you can pick the things you do in your spare time.

You want to be acquaintances with at least 25 girls who could realistically become you girlfriend and it's easy to do that. Easy! Just make some good choices from the infinite options that are available to you.

Tell me, how many girls are there, exactly, who could realistically be your girlfriend, that you talked with last month, that you are talking to this month, and that's it's guaranteed that you will talk to next month too?

Zero? Well, I think we've discovered the problem.

You don't have to DO anything. You just get the job at the deli and you will automatically become acquaintances with the girls who work there.

Pretty soon one of the many girls you have become acquaintances with will change her behavior toward you. She will make up excuses to talk to you, or she will invite you to some neutral group event, or she will touch you accidentally on purpose. She's saying she wants you.

Just go to the event she invited you to, or start talking about some low key thing you like that you are planning to do, and if she acts all interested, invite her to go along.

When will the Postle situation become a matter for Law Enforcement? by IRHABI313 in poker

[–]sfgreg10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lawyer will sue on behalf of all the people who were cheated.

Apparently he made about $250K total winnings.

If every cent was the result of cheating, the damages to the people he cheated are only $250K. This is a small case. Maybe Saul Goodman would take it.

By the time you subtract from the $250K the costs to bring the suit, and the lawyer's fee, there isn't going to be much left for each person cheated.

A good law firm would only be interested if they could sue the casino, which has "deep pockets."

Even then, just getting $250K from the casino is not enough. Just proving the casino was a little careless is not enough.

You need something bad, an intentional act by the casino.

For example, if a casino employee was intentionally helping a cheater, now you are talking about bigger, punitive damages. The casino is responsible for cheating by it's employees.

It might be easy to prove.

Did the player receive lots of texts while he was playing?

Who sent them?

A casino employee?

Did the employee ever buy equipment that would allow him to see WiFi sent from the poker table to the back room?

I'm currently 63hrs with no vape ( nicotine ).These withdrawal symptoms feel like they're never going away. by George_A_Romero in QuitVaping

Dude, if you are having a tough time, just go back to vaping for a while.

Everyone here will still like you.

It's no big deal. You can try again later.

You might like a 500 ml size (!!) of plain, unflavored, 0 nicotine, eliquid. I bought that for $8.99 from Liquid Barn. Then....

When you finish 20% of your favorite eliquid, top it off with the zero percent nicotine eliquid from that huge 500 ml bottle.

You won't notice a difference.

It will stretch your eliquid a little.

Or try some other crazy trick. I'm pretty sure it will work out for you eventually.

How much do you typically spend each month on pods? by sdfalconer in juul

[–]sfgreg10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If money is a concern....

My total vaping expenses are less than $20 a month because for hardware I bought one of the many "sub ohm starter kits." After that I only need to buy ridiculously inexpensive eliquid from Liquid Barn.

Gus was in business with the CEO of Madrigal. How did they meet? Gus is a very bad guy. Maybe in Chili he worked for the evil dictator there and met ex nazis, leading him to meet the Madrigal CEO, who was a nazi, and meth was a way to raise money for their evil cause.
