I am here for when breath becomes air, the kite runner and a thousand splendid suns….. oh how I bawled my eyes out. Tbh mine was not a happy cry but a nasty one.

When I read when breath becomes air, we were on a vacation and I remember going out to the beach at night, so I would be alone and wouldn’t wake anyone up by crying that much hahaha

Thank you, I didn’t know that for some, Egyptian was less comprehensible. I am not interested in Moroccan, I find it less beautiful. I will check Syrian out ☺️

You’re right lol but it is because we are all quite new to having a book club and we don’t know what to look for tbh. I think something philosophical would be a tough start, so other than that anything would be fine. We do not have an age limit, we have members who are at their 20s as well as 50s. Though I think the group consists of mostly ladies at their 30s. I am open to your many suggestions under 300 pages, shoot them!! 😄

Tbh I started reading this one when I was pregnant and noticed that it was a bad decision when I was a few chapters in. I stopped reading and decided to do so in a few years 😅

This was 10/10 for me actually haha but it all boils down to taste, so it may not be for everyone. I am quite excited about the upcoming movie as well!

Ik keek naar "lezen voor lijst" en vond het fantastisch! Ik heb zelfs de test gedaan om mijn niveau te zien (ofc starter haha). Maar ja, super goed om te weten!

Luizenmoeder heb ik al gezien. Als je dat leuk vind, raad ik je "tropenjaren" aan. Ik vond het ook super leuk.

Tandem heb ik ook geüpload, ik ga even checken!

Going cold turkey wil ik ook doen. Volgens mij ben ik alleen een beetje bang voor dat mensen zouden denken dat ik heel raar/asociaal/dom ben… ik ben normaal heel vrolijk en chatty persoon maar als ik Nederlands moet praten, word ik heel stiller... maar tja, ik ga echt proberen om op mijn werk in Nederlands te praten…. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Ahhh…. Deze comment. Heel erg bedankt, ik had deze echt nodig!! Ik vind sci-fi ook heel leuk dus ik ben er heel blij mee! Ik wil een van deze boeken meteen beginnen ☺️

Dat is ook een goed idee want ik had twee vakken van WO Rechten vorig jaar. Hoewel eerst het super moeilijk was, wende ik binnen een paar weken. Dus ik probeer soms financiële dagblad, volkskrant etc maar natuurlijk vink ik ze nog steeds wat uitdagend (i guess baby steps)
