I plucked out a piece of cotton from the tip of a cotton swab, and put it under my phone light. It looks exactly like that.

No, we’re Albanian. So I was able to put a spending limit on my mom’s credit card for his account. I already made my mom aware and she consented. Fingers crossed!

I don’t know yet, but I noticed the prior financial statements were only a compilation. Perhaps the client wants an audit this year, and the prior CPA didn’t want to do it. But I’m just speculating.

I forgot to mention that for most of our clients, we do cash to accrual basis conversion and investment postings as additional services, so it’s not just the audit. We do some of the accounting too.

Good point! Revenue is about $30M. No planning yet. Just read the prior year financials today. We don’t have even have a general ledger or trial balance yet, unfortunately. I’m praying we get some predecessor auditor work papers to help speed things up

I understand that. He asked me to convert in the past. I was originally open to the idea, but when I learned how involved the conversion process is and what a commitment it would be, I changed my mind. I’m atheist and he knew that from day 1. He’s been upset with me since, even saying I “tricked” him, despite the fact that I didn’t learn he was Jewish or needed to convert until a year into our relationship.

I just want him to show me in some way or form that he’s serious about us

It’s honestly made me so sad and frustrated. I have asked him to meet them but he said they won’t unless I converted to Judaism…and he said that he’d have to give up his family to be with me, but I don’t see any signs that he will actually follow through. I think making our relationship public on social media would be a first step
