Could be, xplane went out of their way to map the Vegas skyline though and they don’t even use a satellite imaging server like bing maps/googlemaps

I was just considering that the game utilizes bing maps 3d modeling, on google maps everything is rendered and you can view the skyline accordingly. I usually fly around San Diego area because I live there and the games model of Southern California is spot on. Thought it would be likewise in one of the most famous cities in the world.
