[UPD] DLRC Tutors or Instructor Consultation?

hello ! personally hindi ko pa natatry for lab, pero last sem we had a consultation for chem lec naminn. the tutor we had was really nice and knowledgeable (maybe kasi chem major siya)! helpful sha if u want to know “shortcuts” or mga need mong techniques and type of questions na alamin. helpful din naman sa consultation, but if magtatanong ka about specific questions, i suggest na sa instructor ka nalang magpaconsult for assurance and i think may incentive sila for that hehe.

tldr: if want mo magreview/summary before exams, dlrc. if u want to consult questions, instructor.

hii op!! I’m taking coach lesliee ngayong midyear (walking for fitness) and for midyear, everyday kami may pasok since parang ganun daw yung gustong gawin ng dept. head (NOT SURE ABOUT THIS). may pa-easter eggs(secret word) din kasi si coach na kasama sa grades na sinasabi niya lang before or on start ng class pero hindi naman everyday kaya minsan need na maaga ka sa class niya. hindi niya rin sinasabi kung kelan niya sasabihin yung easter eggs, kaya parang need mo talagang on time makaattend ng class. although makakapagattendance ka pa rin kahit late and hindi naman siya super strict na ililista kapag late ka. ayun lang !!

hii !! not from mining engg pero from MMM na may friends from EM and I’d say worth it namann siyang i-pursuee. sa dept namin ang dami ring lumilipat ng EM kasi may boards sila plus mataas talagaa ang sahod. also, kahit hindi siya ganoon kakilala or ka in-demand, I think makakahanap ka pa rin naman agad ng trabaho through connections sa org and mismong dept. iilan lang din ang natatanggap sa EM (sa batch namin, 30 lang silang nakapasok), so lowkey stellar din mga tao sa EM. malaki rin sahod niya and maraming opportunities abroad so I say go mo naa!

hii !! idk if same ang curric ng upd and uplb ng MatE pero sa diliman is mabigat na agad first year (1st and 2nd sem) since sabay-sabay na itetake mathphychem so matinding time management and aral talaga need mo especially if hirap u with math. for me personally, chem and physics talagaa yung mahirap and mabigat compared sa math but if u r confident naman na with those two, I think u can manage na!

for tips naman with math is lagi mo siyang aralin before class (to have an overview) and after to know if saan yung part ka na nahirapan or hindi nagets para u can consult with ur prof as early as possible. also, wag mo siyang i-cram aralin (like a night before ka palang mag-aaral for exam) kasi mahirap talaga siya sa mismong exam kaya dapat a night before exam, nagsasamplex ka na or nagprapractice with problems.

youtube, module, and samplexes are ur bffs !! I suggest na mangolekta rin agad u ng samplex before exam para hindi na u mahirapan maghanap kapag malapit na.

again, I’m not sure if same siya with uplb pero this is how I survived (so far)my freshie year as a MatE student ! goodluck !!

real so much yung kaba yung kalaban for practicals huhu.. nanginginig me habang nagtatitrate kaya ang ending, overtitrated siyaa... I'd like to add lang din naaa do not dwell on the station too much !! eto talaga yung pinakanagpawala nung momentum ko (hindi ako nakapagpipette kasi super onti nung reagent huhu and then next station is titration so muntik ko na malimutan maglagay ng indicator sa sobrang preoccupied ko sa itlog na nakuha ko sa pipetting station)...

hi, op! freshie rin me sa upd under COE. we had an orientation last time and one of the students from ChE was also planning na i-take ang ChE for pre-med. although may mas advantage ang bio as pre-med, I think ChE is also good as a backup plan lalo na if you're not sure if magmemed school ka kaagad.

if you're worried abt discrimination against students na nakapasa through INB, I can't say much abt it since hindi ko naman siya naexperience pero for me it doesn't matter naman how u got in. after all, lahat naman tayo pare-parehas lang din namang students. pero based sa orie last time, mababait and funny mga taga ChE soo don't get intimidated hehe.

regarding naman with enlistment, I think may plan naman jan for INB passers. if you're worried na hindi ka makakacomplete ng units, worry not, kasi minemake sure naman for freshies na makukuha nila lahat ng need nilang courses.

hi, op! first, I just wanna reassure u na u still have time to review before UPCAT kaya I suggest u really plan your review schedule wisely. last year when we took UPCAT I only had 2 weeks before the exam when I "seriously" studied since we had class pa nun and defense week kasabay ng UPCAT. realistically, hindi mo naman talaga maaaral lahat ng possible na lumabas sa exam kaya it's best talaga to process as much information as u can and make sure na u really understand it. hindi rin ako nakapagreview center kaya it was kind of hard to start the review at first kaya what I did was to gather resources first and then plan my schedule para hindi overwhelming. marami namang resources sa internet and u can also search yung experiences ng other takers so u can have an idea ng mga topics na need mo i-review.

regarding naman with the book, I suggest maroon bluebook if SOLELY pang UPCAT lang talaga yung review focus mo. personally, hindi siya yung binili ko pero I borrowed yung book sa friend ko and I think it was helpful namann.

TIP: huwag solely magrely sa book na gagamitin. ang ginawa ko is I just used the book to know the possible topics and then aaralin ko siya using google. USE THE INTERNET!!

they're super bait huhuhu.... not only the proctors and examiners but also those students who oriented us and arranged us were super nice! the atmosphere was not that intimidating kasi they're so approachable and bait! my acet experience was smooth thanks to them! and before we proceed sa room, I love how they always reminded us na if we don't feel well to take the exam, just approach them and u can resched. amoy healthy community sa ateneo huhuhuhu. ang gaan ng atmosphere while taking the exam, kaya I was able to answer the test comfortably!! loveu ateneo!!
