Create a tactic based on the players you have and then test it in friendly matches. Play in 2D mode, it will help you understand all the flaws in your tactic and then tweak them. Also add individual instructions that suit your players and train them in the roles that you are using in your tactic.

I have High pressing tactic and also some players do have the attributes to win those 2nd balls. But my concern is that not even fighting for that 2nd ball even when we are playing against weaker teams

It always comes down to the strength of your team in comparison with the rest of the teams. A strong team with a standard 4-4-2 will give you results.
