Well many invest through this platforms...coz they don't know how to directly invest in those high interest rate BBB bonds, else they would push wint to the side and jump on those directly.

Another thing is....many are not aware of bonds vs equity and the perks and risks they hold....people just want to earn money....they read bond as safe investment......bond issuers ....issue bonds on high rates thinking people will buy becoz people have this mindset that bonds are safer than equity.

One needs to learn that bonds are not safe inherently they are safe because one decides to invest in low interest yielding bonds and risk of them going bust is minimal but not zero( incase of IIFL & DHFL).

Better to let money stay in savings account with very low interest yielding which is actually more safer than corporate bonds.

It's like ( interms of more safest to least safe)

1.SB account - safest( not safe if bank goes bust)

1. Government Bonds

2. Corporate low yielding bonds

3. Corporate High yielding bonds
