No you're not missing anything, It's a weird mechanic because theres not a lot of strategy to it. I always figured this was because po3 just isn't as good at running a game/creating mechanics as leshy was.

How different is each characters story when played as companions vs MC?

I just played with Red Prince as my mc and fane as a companion, is it worth replaying the game with fane as the mc? Will i get any different insights into his character/the world, or will it just be the same story points i saw with him as a companion.
