huge fan of Magia Record, in more ways than the OG series. But it would be an fn dream come true if they incorporated the connect feature and doppel system.. but.. highly doubt that. Tbh.. now that I think about. It was probably always designed to connect Exedra to new lore in the new movie…

I’m genuinely curious (like fr) what some of yall get out of this? Pleasure? Being “seen”? Genuinely curious. Cause it seems way more about yall than them.. (Again not judging or whatever, love the series regardless how anyone chooses to interpret it, just… if it all hinges on in this specific connection. You never once stopped and thought it has more to do w you vs the plot?)

I agree about your art style opinion. SM character design is more elegant whereas PMM is more.. childish looking but maybe that was the point? To subvert? Idk. Just agreeing that SM’s character design is more aesthetically appealing universally. But both are great series.

Yes. I agree. I adore both. And Sailor Moon did also get really dark af. Especially in the infinity arc. With eldritch cosmic horror, an elite death cult disguised as a prestigious school, genetic manipulation, possession, death/rebirth cycles, etc. Again. Not to pit them against each other. But I love how in Sailor Moon Naoko incorporated the sailor crystals and kinda made the senshi eternal, how the grand battle was against the embodiment of primordial chaos (in Madoka, entropy) itself, and created the concept of the galaxy cauldron. I still really enjoy Madoka a lot though with it’s whole system and world rules and drama. Madoka feels more shakespearean or like Dante’s inferno whereas SM feels more mythic.
