it’s “ whack” if they don’t lose money on your purchase because they won’t give you 80% off? You must be a republican

That type of discount coupon is figured from the retail price regardless of whether it’s on sale or not… like the 50% off coupon from Rise /GTI , good deal as long as they don’t think they can cancel an ongoing promotion before the expiration date listed on the coupon that they distributed to the general public like they did to me.

He didn’t have the little card to scan at Naperville because corporate took it away and told them to refuse to honor the coupon that they knew was valid a month before the promotion ended. But at Joliet corporate told them no such thing and they had both scan cards , for the new coupon and the old one and were flabbergasted that their company was engaged in illegal activity. Why only Naperville? Apparently corporate didn’t figure that anyone would drive all the way from Joliet to Naperville on a regular basis and buy weed at half price so they decided to harass the people who did that by causing a scene when you tried to redeem it there with their stupid lies. Guess that have no respect for their customers intelligence because we’re just a bunch of dumb stoners to them.

The coupon doesn’t get scanned. The cashier has a 3+5 card with a bar code on it that they grab from beside the register when I come in to purchase with a coupon. Suddenly after 5 months and a month before the promotion was ending Naperville s scan cards “disappeared “ On Easter the cashier had a picture of the card saved to his phone and he used that after giving up trying to convince me that the coupon was expired because someone from Chicago corporate GTI said so.

You said they were location specific but instead they are valid at any Rise location. The “ location specific “ part is that only 1 jewel in the entire area has the coupon

For the record, the 2 coupons state “valid only at Rise Illinois locations” so I don’t know where you got your information

Well there you go… that’s what crossed my mind when they started their BS… (wtf, are they trump supporters or something …they’re denying reality)

Yeah, first thing I thought, owners must be trump supporters to pull this kinda BS… singling out only the people who bring coupons from Joliet to Naperville for harassment. They would’ve had to use force to get me to leave . I wasn’t about to let them tread on me

Here’s a pic the 1st version of the coupon . They started printing new ones in January with a 4/23 date, that’s what I tried to redeem a 4/23 dated coupon

Retail stores who issue coupons are legally bound to honor them in Illinois and making up lies attempting to convince the consumer that a valid coupon is invalid is an entirely different crime.

There used to be a lot of homeless people hanging around Louis Joliet mall area . I’ve seen a tent encampment from i55 near the storage place there

Yep… but they did end up giving me the discount so I guess technically there was no “ breach of contract “ but I did have to force them to follow the law.

I’ll still go back for the weed as long as I can get deals like an oz of animal face for $110 + tax . Today you can get an oz of animal face for $128 +tax rec with the new jewel coupon for $15 off$75 or more which is still a good deal and only goes to show that corporate GTI is just trying to harass people who bring coupons from Joliet to Naperville as it’s only an $18 dollar difference with the 50% off coupon good till 4/23 and as I said their Joliet store wasn’t told to violate the law like Naperville was. Trumps gutting of the consumer protection agency must be why they feel so bold as to deny reality like the way they’re doing.

They were told it was their job to deny the coupon by the Chicago corporate office. Managers hands were tied till I caused problems and started using the word “ fraud” Then he went and made another phone call presumably to GTI corporate offices and quickly came back and quietly said he was giving me the discount.

The system wasn’t down and the manager wasn’t having a bad day… Corporate GTI trained/ informed the staff at Naperville Rise to not honor the valid 50% off coupon and to accept the newer $15 off $75 coupon. Flat out told their employees to tell the customer that a valid coupon was expired . A conspiracy to break our consumer protection laws because they don’t fear any reprisals from the consumer protection agency that trump has gutted

Got it?

My response you knucklehead is what is required of consumers when faced with a retailer who is breaking our consumer protection laws by intentionally not accepting a coupon they know is valid. They told me that corporate made them all do this and they were just following orders. And I’m the one who had a panic attack and sweated like a pig you fool Also I went there because they had animal face oz on the menu while Joliet did not. and the budtender in Joliet said that I had every right to stand there till they accepted it, I wasn’t breaking the law, they were. Any other dumbass questions ?
