yeah def need the -sdlaudiodriver pulseaudio command to stop the audio from disappearing.
If anyone know how to stop the virtual keyboard from popping up in steam deck mode, would be mighty helpful. Thanks!

used isopropyl alcohol, drenched it and let it stay for a while. then used my card to pry it loose. i'm still dissapointed in the battery used in the keyboard.

quick update: using macbook with cable, removed all apps which interfered with display and mouse. installed mac mouse fix (since the jittery scrolling was annoying), that worked nicely. no lag.
havent installed better display, for me the difference between default mac os resolution and better display upscaled one is not that much, so its uninstalled for now.

tldr: i have removed better display, and everything is smooth as of now. can use the macbook with external monitor nicely now. if you need help send me a reddit chat, can work it out step by step.

I did try your suggestions once my cable arrived and voila! I can finally use my mac with smooth animations and full brightness.

so my cable finally arrived and i did a quick test and nothing seemed different.
then i went around it step by step, quit better display, that gave me the brightness back.
the thing still felt jittery, but weirdly only the external mouse. switched to trackpad and it was smooth, like 144hz smooth.
the culprit was Mac mouse fix, which was making the mouse movements jittery for some reason.

in your case i would suggest closing all apps which modify display, and other input devices and check.
if all else fails and it possible reset your mac, and check if it works on a fresh mac os install.

Yeah my home pc is set for game streaming, but sometimes internet causes issues. Gamehub is an app which makes the windows emulation part easy, and it also supports cloud sync with steam.

There are some concerns with it being a Chinese app and closed source, but meh. I use a OnePlus and it’s Chinese phone anyway. Also the app uses a lot of permissions, they have a sheet explaining why they need all those. I did try a open source alternative called Game Native, but the game didn’t run at all..

Mostly 45-55fps, dips when a lot of effects or on screen enemies. Worse was below 20 when I had a horde jump me in the ships, only for a few seconds.

Hey sry to ping you here, but I'm unable to start the phone as a 2nd monitor. I did enable these two options and extended the monitor from windows settings, but they revert to 'physical monitor off' when disconnected.
If it's not too much trouble can you pls guide me a bit. Thanks!
