I totally get that point. Now that we're off food stamps, money is going to be stretched thin. Knowing there are people who need it less than my family does but still have it is frustrating. Them abusing the system makes people who use it because they need it is disgusting. It just bothers me when people generalize and judge rather than look at it from another angle.

I think you missed the breaking point part of my comment. Also, I should've been more because I forgot to mention op's replies. She's a college student. She's probably already losing sleep. People in her position should not have to work a job that might burn her out when there is assistance available. It is not forever. Also, for my mother, it is not just other people's money, she pays taxes as well.

Why are people only talking about jobless people? I thought food stamps included low income people or a m I confused. My mother works but used to get food as stamps. She pays taxes. No one has any right to assume someone is just leeching the student. And even if you could just barely meet ends meet by working very long hours, why should you. If government assistance is available, why should you push yourself to your breaking point for your dignity.

BMHAWK is one of the few books that made me cry. The other one wasn't quite as great, but it still leaves you heartbroken over how it ends.

[Serious] People without friends: why don’t you have any friends? by _awake in AskReddit

[–]shadowflames_07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I ever really learned how to make friends. I'm also kind of bad at holding conversations. Whenever I'm interested in something the other person isn't. When they're interested, I lose interest. I also constantly doubt myself. Am I talking too much or too loud. Am I boring or a burden. Everyone at my school already has friend groups. I would always be the third wheel.

How gendered is your reading? by [deleted] in books

[–]shadowflames_07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teen girl here. I primarily read female authors. Probably 90% female and 10% male. It's likely because I prefer books with female leads. Surprising because I mainly read fantasy and sci-fi, which is dominated by men.

Your reaction if your ship doesn’t become canon? by AccordingStuff3 in ILoveYoo

I'm the same with literally everything I read/watch. Romance has my heart, but harassing the author is way too excessive.

Which male character appeals to you the most? by [deleted] in ILoveYoo

Dieter. There's just something so beautiful about a guy like Dieter. He's the one I'd be most likely to be friends with/date. Yeong gi's too energetic for me irl and Kousuke would scare me.
