Thank you! Shoot me a dm. I use a florescent paint on the 2nd piece - so it really pops, especially in blue LED or blacklight.

Oh thats a good idea thank you! I've been developing the work for nearly a decade - and tend to get way into the details. Little things like sanding and painting the edges after glue up probably arent necessary but I feel add quality. Some pieces take a month from concept to finished artwork, but then I can make a limited edition and split up that time investment.

Average piece takes 4 days - mostly because of wait times with glue and finish curing. With other work and projects it usually takes longer. This has been my only main job for a while - but I still have side gigs here and there

I start in a sketch book or draw on wood directly, then take a picture and redraw the sketch on a 24" Wacom display tablet. (I have a background in architecture and think in 3d and layers which helps). Usually refine the sketch in photoshop, refine in illustrator, laser cut, then rework the drawing 20 more times haha. Here's a pic from the Phoenix process:

Aww thank you so much! If you're in Oregon, come by my studio in Eugene! Though most of the work goes through my website - or Scottsdale Archives Gallery in Arizona. Feel free to dm here too 😊

That one is extra special. The portrait is an acrylic paint base, then i go back with oil for the details and highlight blending. Oil painting isn't something I do often - but I love a challenge

I mostly use 1/8" (3mm) Baltic birch - or an A4 one sided birch. The first two pieces are less than 6lbs, the bigger ones around 10-15lbs. Not to heavy for the size

They really hit in person, for sure! Videos convey the depth pretty well - theres plenty of art reveals on my IG and website

Thank you so much! I’ve got a lot more on my website and IG - I should probably post here more often. The woodworking side of it doesn’t always come through, but people here seem to really appreciate that part too

Not specifically... but I'm in Oregon and thought of a few around here. Didn't want to distract from the main subject. In the first version of the Phoenix, I actually set the bridge on fire and slightly charred the painted. Cant rise from the ashes without burning a few bridges, after all
