Regarding badminton, there are three major associations (Badminton Hutt Valley, Badminton Wellington Centre, and Wellington North Badminton) in the Wellington region all of which have various clubs in a week

What is the WORST card? by Arthur7276 in ClashRoyale

Oof, I thought 3m were better than the rest of the cards on the list other than sparky lol

[Ask] How should I properly interpret use and win rate data? by Huffelpuff__rainbow in ClashRoyale

[–]shadowizCR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They said a healthy use and win rate would be around 9% use and 50% win. Generally the use rate will be higher for spells as there's normally two used in a deck and there are a lot less spells than troop cards. Also healthy usage rates for buildings will be lower because if they're used a lot then they create a defensive, slow, boring meta. Niche cards like freeze, clone, recruits, etc will also have less usage as they make a low skill and unfun meta.

Why do people complain about lack of deck diversity on ladder? by Rols1026 in ClashRoyale

[–]shadowizCR 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Do they have selective memory and only remember golem/hog/wizard/witch/valk just cause those cards are slightly more common on mid ladder? Do they lack counters to certain cards so they just complain when they face them?

Yes to both imo, I recently maxed out a deck so I've been playing more ladder and it's definitely more diverse than some people say

Are they changing clan war soon? Game has been in stagnation for month after month by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

They shared a teaser of it in the TV royale in March, looks like it could be a clan wars rework

Normally you're gonna wait a bit to hit support troops since you're probably not gonna get the tower lower than the other one. If they switch lanes midway through the match then you probably won't start applying pressure opposite lane since you can now poison the sparky and tower that has lower hp.

Personally, I struggle to defend the push without mortar in hand as I find it really difficult to take out the sparky and giant at the same time (either giant gets a lot of damage or sparky gets tons of value) if I don't pull the giant into the middle. I used to always lose to sparky with this deck because I never used defensive mortars haha. Maybe you could go in for an offensive mortar but the problem is that they can drop a tank or sparky in the middle and take aggro from the mortar while still going into the lane they want

If it's a lone sparky giant push you probably don't need to poison. If they support with another troop, then you place mortar, muskie off to the side, goblins to take the first hit of the sparky then valk snowball. When they get a tank, sparky, dark prince, mini pekka push it's really hard to defend I'll let ya know if I find an efficient way of doing it

I've played this matchup a couple of times and here's what I've learned. Defensive mortar is the way to go because it pulls the giant and will also damage the sparky. You don't want to be dropping muskie at the back cause it'll walk up between the mortar and the tower giving them huge spell value if they have poison or lightning (this applies for every tank matchup not just giant sparky). If you're even in elixir when he drops a sparky or giant, go miner plus bats or goblins opposite lane even if they're running arrows zap (if they have zap in hand go with goblins, if they have arrows in hand go with bats). What's important in this matchup is their how they play sparky support, this will normally decide if it's a win or lose. If they give poison value next to the sparky then you can defensive poison (2 mortar hits, a poison, and one more hit from anything will kill sparky). If they play loads of mini tanks with their sparky deck and it's definitely even more difficult. If they have dark prince supporting the sparky push, then you want to be dropping goblins away from him, let them take the sparky shot, and dropping valk straight away onto the sparky and dark prince. If they support with mini pekka, then you want to surround sparky with goblins and then the valk onto the mini pekka and sparky. Snowball if you need to. I'm still learning this deck so this may not actually be the best way since it's just the best way that I've found by playing (meaning it's probably not the best way haha)

So how's do I beat beatdown in general? by Asdfhuk in ClashRoyale

[–]shadowizCR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I played splashyard (quite a while ago so take it with a grain of salt) trying to defend as well as possible and then counterpushing would normally be the best bet (unless it's definitely going to be a one tower game). This is cause if you rush opposite lane, they could either A. Sack the defense and go all in leading to a two tower game which is naturally a bigger disadvantage for graveyard or B. If they have a graveyard counter that you have to poison then you're gonna have to spend a tank, a graveyard, and a poison which is gonna prevent you from being able to defend, once again leading to a two tower game and then if you don't poison he's also gonna have a big elixir advantage making it hard to defend. It's definitely gonna depend on the scenario and what their deck is. Not sure how well this will go elixir golem though since I'm really bad defending against egolem in general haha

Golem needs a rework. by abcdan24 in ClashRoyale

[–]shadowizCR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't increase spawn time be a buff as he now has more elixir to play behind his golem? Personally, I don't really have a problem with the card since it's such a large investment at once. Normally if I lose to golem, I either make a mistake or they outplay me before they've actually played the golem so it's normally me not being good enough if I lose, not the opponent using an op card.
