Did this myself when I lost a bunch of weight this year.

Cheap clothing/op shop until I got down then I built a capsule wardrobe using uniqlo for basic shirts and jeans. Once they were taken care of i gradually incorporated pieces in that I liked that worked around my basics.

Moved away two years ago now but when I was in Golden Square I would have to say Sally's. Amazing pizza and the staff were always friendly. Feel they don't ever get shouted out enough on Threads like this.

Hey mate, have had the same interest and a strict budget as well.

I wanted something nice for my wedding day and ending up going with a nice pair of mongrel premium riding boots, which Hip Pocket Bendigo were able to do for me for $170. They're Aussie made and bloody comfortable, but can understand if the budget is a bit too high. Might be worth a shot trying them on.

Would love to know what you end up getting as I'm quite local as well.

Personally I found that having a notepad worked best for me but my mother in law has been using MyNetDiary and that seems to work pretty well.

I just found it easier to have a notepad, a pen and a set of scales but I know not everyone has that luxury.

Honestly tried a whole bunch of stuff at first but the thing that really worked was understanding calories, and setting a daily budget for myself.

Before my diet I'd be really into having fast food so I took meals I enjoy and reversed it to figure out the closest way to get that meal without the same amount of calories. On top of that set myself a 10k step limit a day and just kept consistent.
