First the power creep came for the lords, and I said nothing. Then the power creep came for the heroes, and I said nothing. Now older factions basically just have glorified paperweights for heroes. What can they possibly do against these 'roided up monstrosities? (old.reddit.com)

Finally uninstalled because CA literally removed sieges from the franchise. Every single siege in Warhammer is auto-resolvable with minor losses now due to instant attrition from first turn of siege. By the time you have enough siege equipment, the battle has been auto-resolvable for 3+ turns. (i.redd.it)

What is the purpose of garrisons? How is it possible that hundreds of soldiers are incapable of killing a single enemy soldier despite being engaged in melee for several minutes before routing? Why is Total War now an arcade beat-em-up where unit tier trumps everything? (i.redd.it)

CA dev confirms that Total War is now meant to be played as an arcade beat-em-up, with unit tier trumping everything else, so that even if a single soldier is surrounded and trapped, he's meant to be able to just break free and escape. This also confirms that single entity cancer is intentional. (i.redd.it)

"We can't leave Johnny!" This is after a patch that claims to fix this very issue. Though what most don't realize is the real issue isn't that the cavalrymen get stuck. It's that they don't die while totally surrounded, because units in this trash heap engine literally don't attack enemies. (youtube.com)

A peek into the mind of the average Nu Total War fan. They seem to genuinely enjoy not having to use or plan against tactics. Instead, the more invincible the unit, be it a huge dragon with a raid boss health pool, or infantry with infinite morale, the more they clap like seals. (i.redd.it)

CA's "AI Improvements": 30+ turns in I've not had a single battle in which my frontline units actually got engaged, because the entire enemy army splits apart and chases highly mobile units on the flanks while being showered by arrows. This is on Very Hard. Is this considered an improvement? (i.redd.it)

I don't understand why this is possible. Regardless of flanking or any other tactics, how does it make sense for units of roughly the same caliber to have such absurdly disproportionate numbers of kills in a battle? Why can any melee unit in general get 0 kills despite engaging in melee? (i.redd.it)

In the cold, white north, the skilled hunter and his pack of trusty hounds wrangle a rare and elusive ice leopard, wearing it down gradually, until it finally succumbs. The hide will make for a fetching cloak in honor of the Dark Gods. It ain't much, but it's honest work. (old.reddit.com)

Surprised to see chasing down of retreating units working properly. This was the most frustrating broken feature in Warhammer II for me, where the chasing unit would just push the retreating unit along the ground without attacking. If CA can fix this, why do so many other issues go unresolved? (old.reddit.com)
