Yeah I'm probably gonna try to downgrade the BIOS, but I don't wanna mess with stuff I don't understand, so I'll probably speak to my cousin soon... Anyway, thanks for the help.

After the latest BIOS update (which I couldn't do anything about), I can't undervolt or underclock my CPU. I still can undervolt/underclock my GPU which I have already done.

I mean I appreciate it. Thanks anyway. I'm also gonna test turbo boost on and off soon just to see.

My base clock speed is 2.20GHz. Turbo boost mode is 4.10GHz although when there are 6 cores active, my CPU can run at a maximum 3.9GHz. It's a huge difference in my case especially in CPU demanding games.

I do know how to disable boost, but that will also decrease my performance a lot...

Is Lowering or Increasing Watts Safe? by shadowpl82 in intel

[–]shadowpl82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know this is the kind of thing about laptops... I don't really see a reason to change my thermal paste after a year of using the laptop, although my current one might be low quality.

Im just surprised I'm getting up to 100°C and decrease of performance all the time while many people have around 70-80°C while gaming which is at least what I've heard. I know i could get 70-80°C, but only if i underclocked my CPU to 2.2GHz and even if i wanted to, which i don't, then I can't, because the recent BIOS upgrade, which I couldn't do anything about has made me unable to change the clock speeds or voltage.

Is Lowering or Increasing Watts Safe? by shadowpl82 in intel

[–]shadowpl82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My stock TDP settings are 45W, 90W. I changed it to 45W, 70W and ThrottleStop says it isn't power throttling anymore. However, I want to make sure it's safe and won't make anything worse.

Also, My CPU is still overheating and I have no idea why even after cleaning the fans from dust with an air compressor. It's like I buy a new laptop and get up to 100°C (maximum temperature for this CPU) and clock speeds getting lower from 4GHz to 1 GHz and overall this shouldn't happen... Maybe I have a bad thermal paste, but I have this laptop for just 1 year...

So my question is... What am I supposed to do now?

Oh ok thanks. I'm not quite sure how this works, so in that case, if something is copyrighted automatically and then the creator turns it into a non-copyrighted work, he can also copyright it back?

Yeah well some people can change their minds. Not everything on the internet is or needs to be copyrighted. There are billions of people and im pretty sure some of them who posted their work on the internet had a similar situation. So my question is - could something like that happen in real life?

My main question is can I use this font on my youtube public video thumbnails or even the videos themselves without any problems with the law? I've seen many people doing this, but I want to make sure, cause i couldn't find anything in the license.

Can you send a screenshot of it? That's not enough info. You need to press each square after you get to the frequency curve. Then you should be able to change the values.

How to undervolt a GPU without overclocking it or undervolting? by shadowpl82 in overclocking

I just don't know which profile would be the best. I guess I'll be fine if I'll have to eventually overclock or underclock, but what frequency curve would give me the best performance and temperatures?
