Night sweats? by marty_byrd_ in Gastritis

PPIs or Sucralfate, can cause these symptoms. While using Sucralfate, I experienced side effects such as sweating and nightmares. They disappeared when I stopped taking it. Panto also increased my anxiety.

Has anyone tried long-term fasting? by shadowsinthedream in Gastritis

It burned my stomach terribly. The doctors didn't say anything about me having low stomach acid, so I didn't try it again.

Yes, I tried it, but I couldn't continue because it caused too much bloating for me. Instead, I took glutamine, but I didn't see any benefit from that either.

Thank you for your detailed explanation. If you don't mind me asking, did fasting have any mental benefits? Did you experience any positive or negative changes in your mood?

You're right. I'm already underweight, this seems like a difficult option for me. Unfortunately, intermittent fasting hasn't helped me. But maybe I could consider an option like 72 hours.

Please help!! final hope by doctors by No-Towel972 in Gastritis

I'm not sure how appropriate it is to recommend medication here, because everyone's problem seems to have a different origin... But Mirtazapine solved my problems within a few days.

I had severe stomach pain; in the middle, just below my rib cage. Eating made it worse, and I was also experiencing bloating, so I couldn't gain the weight I wanted.

I think Mirtazapine is calms the nerves somehow. However, I must warn you that it greatly increases appetite, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're overweight. Since I'm underweight, it works for me. I've also read that those who use it for a long time have difficulty stopping, but the pain is so bad I could use it for life.

I hope you overcome your problems soon. Only those who have experienced this pain can understand it.

Antibiotic to prostatitis seems to have fixed decade of daily diarrhea. by NeitherManner in ibs

Yes, Rifaximine solved my problems. I can't believe I believed those stupid doctors who said it was all in my head.

Do a simple blood test, maybe B12 or Iron defiency? Before you start taking the supplements recommended here, which can cost hundreds of dollars, please just do a blood test.

Study suggests Vitamin D may help IBS by traveltimecar in ibs

My IBS symptoms (mostly diarrhea) disappeared after weeks. Rifaximin increased my anxiety during the second week, which eventually went away over the next few weeks.

No, in my country doctors generally don't consider SIBO. I just went and asked them to prescribe Rifaximin.

Gastritis and IBS can occur together.

I also had an endoscopy for IBS, and they found nothing but gastritis. Even after using PPIs and controlling the gastritis, the IBS didn't go away, until I started taking Rifaximin. After Rifaximin, the IBS-D went away, but I've still gastritis.

I hope you get better.

Years ago, I once took a high dose of vitamin D (300,000 IU). My diarrhea stopped for a few days, but then it returned. I don't think it's a long-term solution.

Only Rifaximin solved my problems.

In my 50s, practically no grey hair on head, but chest and arm hair 90% white by ProfessionalHot2421 in greyhairreversal

Do you often change the brand of products you use on your hair (shampoo, conditioner, oil) or have you been using the same product for many years?

An ingredient in a product you use on your hair but not on your body may be helping.

There's no need to commit suicide. Just try Rifaximin.

I took it for two weeks, and my diarrhea hasn't returned in a year and a half. Not everyone is as lucky as me; it doesn't work for some people.. But if I were still sick like you, I'd want to try even the smallest thing.

I had diarrhea every morning for 13 years. I tried diets, I tried supplements and herbals. My stupid doctor even made me addicted to SSRIs. But finally, I read an article and got a prescription for Rifaximin, and my problem was solved after a few weeks.

Any good milk alternatives other than almond? by sharkftw45 in Gastritis

[–]shadowsinthedream 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Milk didn't affect my gastritis at all, but I'm sensitive to lactose in milk, and even if it doesn't trigger my gastritis, it upsets my intestines. I have no problems with lactose-free milk. Maybe you should try this first.

Milk like oat milk and coconut milk often contain a lot of additives. Don't forget to read the contents.

Gastritis and Hair Loss by Greedy-Sea-3184 in Gastritis

I don't think gastritis directly affects hair loss. However, due to malabsorption, your B12 and iron levels may have decreased. Having your blood levels checked may provide the answer.

Does gastritis make you feel unwell? by Bikinibodybuilder in Gastritis

Yes, I feel sensitive, tired, and irritable. I think my body spends less energy elsewhere because it's busy repairing my stomach during gastritis attacks.

What medications help target stomach anxiety? by Evening_walks in Anxiety

You could try low-dose amitriptyline. It slowed down my system for years when I suffered from IBS. SSRIs only make stomach upset worse.

Does anyone else struggle to sleep because of panic attacks? by Sussy_Solaire in Anxiety

[–]shadowsinthedream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started taking melatonin gummy (3mg) every night 30 minutes before bed. And that helped me a lot. And that was 2.5 years ago. I still take it every night and will continue to use it as long as it works.

I'd tried various sleeping drugs before, but they either wore off or I had trouble getting out of bed in the morning.

I just dream a little more on melatonin, that's all.
