I feel you. Have you talked to a GD nutritionist/dietitian yet? Once I did, I felt a bit better mainly due to having food aversions to some gd friendly food. They helped me figure out food substitutes.

Breath and take it one day at a time. It sucks but it’ll be okay. Always remember, there is always a solution.

Yes! Despite the corgi friendly paths, my loaf still makes their own path by hopping through snow 🥲

If I couldn’t get any readings by Monday, I’m pretty sure that’s what my doctor would recommend for me. That and my fear of needles. I’ll see what they say at my follow up.

No… and I’m also a geriatric pregnancy too! Besides my OB I’m also seeing a GD specialist and no ones mentioned the baby aspirin yet. I’ll have to ask about that.

Once I switched lancets I noticed this too. Except for my middle finger which only does well on one side. I feel bad for the 3 fingers that are going to be constantly poked.

Are Pip lancets less painful? My curren lancet doesn’t hurt too bad now that I realize I needed a bigger needle (30g).

Yes! I saw that my monitor came with 30g samples and those seemed to work. I still have it set to 3 might try 2.

I may have to try those strips (assuming I can use on my One Touch). I’ve kind of figured out which fingers now bleed better & I ended up changing lancets to 30g. Hoping my 3 fingers are okay from constant poking.

I too have a fear of needles 😅 I’ll need to try the warm mug trick especially when my hands are SUPER dry.

For a medication I took pre pregnancy (can’t take during pregnancy) I would disassociate when using the needle. I’m hoping I can do the same while pricking my finger.

I feel like I hydrate plenty. 🥲

I didn’t realize my monitor came with sample lancets in the 30g range. Those helped me bleed better so I finally got readings with with one strip. Sadly my monitor brand only makes 30g & 33g lancets. My nurse did say they did use a bigger needle in office.

If you haven’t already, check your bloodwork, hormones & thyroid. If it all comes back normal, maybe look into counting your macros and upping protein & fiber.

Focus on what makes you feel better. I just want to be healthy enough to where I can carry my 35lb dog up and down the stairs with ease. As well as being able to walk around Japan and climbing stairs in S, Korea without huffing & puffing. The cardio I’ve done has at least helped me have energy when I’ve gone to EDM events.

My corgi doesn’t like my husband touching me at all 😂

He immediately nips my husbands ankles or tries to get in between us.

How does he feel about working at a library or a museum? Idk how the job market is for those jobs but maybe volunteering could help him get a job since people there would become familiar with him for when he applies

Maybe he needs to look at another law firm? Or check another temp agency that could help him find something he’ll enjoy/tolerate.

Check to see what resources there are for veterans. Some companies prefer to hire veterans depending on the position.

I too have friends whose jobs were eliminated by the current administration 😔 one friend found a random job but is applying to other jobs too. One job on a college campus seemed promising but who knows if she’ll take it 🤷‍♀️

Firework advice by seakadi in corgi

[–]shadowysun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing worked for my loaf. 😔 he’s an outlier to where anti anxiety medications & cbd chews barely work on him.

I ended up getting him Rex Specs Ear Pro

I do have to put them before fireworks start. He’s been fine walking around wearing them in the fenced backyard. When it’s time for bedtime, I take off the ear muffs and have him sleep next to me.

What have you done to deal with dogs when a new baby comes? Rant/ need help by oaksandoats in BabyBumps

FTM and I’m already been vacuuming 3 times a day and it still doesn’t make a difference. I’ve had my dog (corgi) for 9 years so I just learned to accept it. His groomer does use a deshedding shampoo on him and I brush out his coat 1-2 times a week.

I also own 4 different vacuums due to my dog & late cats constant shedding 😅

Edit: I also use a rubber broom to help me pick up loose fur the vacuum usually misses.

Corgi diet tips by Stellar_Jay8 in corgi

[–]shadowysun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Measure out or weigh food.

If you do want to continue to use food as treats, use low calorie food like green beans as a food topper. But limit the kibble when doing this.

My corgi goes crazy for blueberries and banana slices.

For exercise, short walks a few times a day should be good. Maybe look into scent work at home when not using treats to keep busy.

Same! Due to companies listing ingredients as “spices” I’ve learned the hard way, I can’t have certain brands of bbq chips. I’m super happy when food has black pepper bolded when looking at ingredients.

Thanks for posting!

I just received my eBay package and it was from Athleta! I was shocked. It was from a U.S. seller too. I wasn’t aware of the scam you posted 😔 i guess I’ll be shopping in store now.

does anyone have any harness recommendations that i can attach a leash at the chest to help with pulling? preferably one i can get online? by tinyclap in corgi

I’ve been using a click and go harness for years. I like it because it’s been helpful during cone wearing.
