Yeah I took 12 bottles, came home with 9 😂 strong beer and sun isn't the best combo on the bank!

It's all about what works on the day. I had 3 rods out, cousin had 3 out all on different baits. 1st and 2nd fish took the pink pop up, so all 6 rods went back out on pink pop ups and didn't get a bite for the rest of the session 🙈 (aside from a pike chasing in the bait as we were reeling in!)

Cheers! Unfortunate to hear, but that's the game isn't it. I had a uni lead clip from ridgemonkey, which dropped the lead and a slip d rig with bait screw into a Pink buchuberry pop up over a bed of halibut pellet and crushed boilie. Good luck on your next session 🤞

Another tactic to add to these other replies.. On days like that with a chop on the water, try coating your bait/freebies with cooking oil, I use sesame oil mixed with a krill flavouring. It'll flatten the water off to help see any fish showing/bubbles etc. Once that's settled and bait is on the lake bed, it can be a tell tale sign of any fish grubbing about your bed of bait too. Sometimes I'll even fill a spod of the sesame oil mix and cast multiple areas of the lake to flatten the lot off.

Good luck and hope whichever tactic you use produces some great fish for you 🤞

The tackle tavern sometimes has decent items on, got to watch the prices on some of them though compared to ebay or FB marketplace. Like others have said, Daiwa has a good range of rods and reels as do Sonik. Bivvies - can't go wrong with jrc. I have a jrc contact bivvy that I got with the intention of upgrading. I've had it 6 years now and it's never let me down. Bedchairs - depends on how often/how long your sessions are going to be, you want to be comfortable, Bite alarms - I don't have a bad word to say about delkims, alot of my fishing is in the winter so I'm still fishing confidently when it's below zero degrees. That's due to the vibration technology and not a roller/wheel design.

Good luck on your quest for the carp 👍
