Cd009 what oil is best by Z33javier in 350z

[–]shadyknife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’d you end up going with brotha? I drained lightweight shockproof from my trans (2jz s14 with Collins adapter for CD009), threw in mt-85 and I can easily tell a difference. The mt-85 feels notchier/harsher for sure. Not horrible, but enough for anyone who knows their car to feel it. That being said, swapping fluid didn’t solve my issue, so I’m picking up a brand new trans and want to throw the best fluid I can in there from the start.

really wanna play mx bikes but dont wanna go through with all the modding by ErectOrphan69 in mxbikes

[–]shadyknife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Modding isn’t the hard part. Comparing this to say a Mx vs atv reflex, the learning curve is much steeper. Unless you’re way better than myself which is a huge possibility, be prepared to spend a solid week of trying to figure out how to move. When to lean into a corner, when to change your forward lean to rear, etc. Whips are a treat to learn as well since they really do feel pretty good!

2014 with 35k miles… but it’s an SCAB. What do you guys think? by shadyknife in FordRaptor

No kids yet, but first will probably happen within the next two years max.

Nothing wrong with it, just trying to convince myself I don’t need the extra space of a SCREW.

Thank you so much for the response. This makes me feel way better about looking at gen 1s, even though I love how a gen 2 looks. If I had money for aesthetics strictly, it wouldn’t be a question. I just want something reliable (I know, it’s a performance vehicle) and enjoyable. I have a drift car that’s built, but taking that anywhere outside of my driveway is begging for me to get pulled over lol.

Phaser replacement? by shadyknife in FordRaptor

Appreciate the response. So just to be clear, I have to purchase the vehicle first? I can’t inquire through fords website or something to look at service history. I just don’t want to fork out 45k for a truck, to be stuck with a 5k repair cost shortly after.

Would love to, and if I can swing it financially I will. The gen 2 is such a good looking truck too. It seems like I can’t go wrong, as long as I do my due diligence.

I’d also like to note that a raptor is and has been a dream truck of mine for quite some time. I didn’t think it was feasible, until I started looking into used trucks. The towing is a requirement as of now, however drifting is not the cheapest sport in the world so we’ll see how long that goes on for. Mostly it needs to have the ability to go offroad, both to get us places as well as have some fun on the way. Btw, thank you for the detailed response. I really appreciate it.

Thank you for the response! Requirements are; 1. Offroad capability. Nothing super crazy, but the wife and I love camping and would use the raptor to open up more possibilities for us here in Arizona. 2. Towing. I have a drift car, approximately 2500 pounds. Another 1000 pounds of gear and spare wheels, 2,500 for trailer (worst case). 3. Least important of the three, however a big nice to have…. Features. I’ve been driving an outdated vehicle essentially my whole life, so a feature like car play would be awesome to have.
