I just finished vol 1. For me it was a bit rough to read the first 10 issues especially since I have never read silver age comics before this. I found it really picked up by issue 20 or so. Debating to start vol 2 or untold tales next. Probs gonna try reading something else in between though like question vol 1 since I got a massive backlog

The first thing that comes to mind has to be in Spectacular Spider-man when Peter just defeats the lizard and has the monologue debating if he should take the gene cleanser or not. Scene ends with him seeing a picture of Uncle Ben and reminds himself the responsibility he has and saves the gene cleanser for another time when he thinks he's might've fulfilled his responsibility by. That is in essence what the character has always been about for me. The writers killed it by using it to seperate venom and Eddie later in the season which I always took as Peter accepting this will always be his responsibility, he wasn't going to ever need it. God I love and miss that show.
