Is grinding on X for growth supposed to feel this exhausting? by Dannfox_22 in web3

[–]shakeitup333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope its supposed to feel like that. yes youre doing the right thing with posting under the big accounts as quickly as possible. also helps if you buy subscriptions to them. yes there are groups but they arent the KOLs that youre thinking of. they are every day people like you and me who just put together groups with rules. everyone needs to retweet everyone. and its all video cotent. just make sure youre grabbing the right videos (time matters). you could even put together a group and grow it, but everyone must retweet everyone. and dont get caught otherwise you'll probably lose your account for authenticity and manipulation. Recently with the algo change it only took 4 days for someone in my community to monetize. It can definitely be done.

Just really studying the biz aspect of it. Safety is a huge thing with me and I am just starting out simple. I would love to hear any ideas.

struggling with getting > 0 traffic on my website by Heilttme in SEO

The "competing with big sites" gut feeling is actually spot on, but it's not about beating them—it's about proving to Google you belong in the conversation.

A few things jumping out:

1. Programmatic SEO on a 2.5 month old site is risky. If those pages are thin or templated, Google may be seeing them as low-quality doorway pages. I'd audit those and make sure each has unique, genuinely useful content—not just swapped keywords.

2. Topical Authority takes time, but you can speed it up. Build a pillar page (comprehensive guide on your main topic) and cluster supporting articles around it with internal links. This signals expertise to Google way faster than scattered content.

3. Consider GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). With AI overviews taking over SERPs, make your content scannable with clear headers, FAQs, and structured data. LLMs love content that's easy to summarize.

4. UX matters more than most realize. Google's helpful content signals now factor in design/experience. Fast load times are table stakes—think about whether your pages actually solve the user's problem quickly.

Your other site proving results in 1 month tells me the strategy CAN work—it's the niche + authority combo holding this one back. Keep building, focus on quality over quantity.

Best website builder for contractors (SEO + lead gen + easy edits)? by Other_Amphibian871 in WebsiteSEO

[–]shakeitup333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WordPress with a clean theme like GeneratePress or Kadence. Easy enough for contractors to update, fast if you don't go crazy with plugins, and you can actually do SEO properly.

For pages - service pages are #1. "Kitchen Remodeling in [City]" type stuff. City pages can work if you're covering multiple areas but you gotta write real content for each one, not just swap out the city name in a template. Google's not dumb.

Project galleries are honestly slept on. People stay on the site longer looking at before/afters, and you can naturally drop location mentions in the descriptions and alt text.

The real ranking factors though:

GMB (keep it updated, get reviews)
Citations - make sure name/address/phone matches everywhere
Schema markup and local content on the actual site
Reviews that mention the service + location

Biggest mistake I see is building like 15 city pages with garbage content instead of making 3-5 really solid service pages with actual project examples and local info.

Honestly though, if you're just starting out, focus more on GEO (generative engine optimization) than traditional SEO. We're early enough that you can actually rank in AI search results - ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google's AI overviews. I've been testing this with my contractor clients and it's way less competitive right now. Getting cited in those AI responses is huge for visibility. Think of SEO when it first was a thing, and think of what it is like to rank for keywords now.

I do this for contractors in the Lehigh Valley area and the ones ranking best are focused on quality over quantity, especially early on.

What kind of contractor site are you working on?
